safe standing

As I understand it,we have 36K season ticket holders. What happens when the Stadium is being extended.Make the ie,the East stand lower standing areas, freeing seats in the rest of the ground,if cheaper more people who are in a bind regards the outlay for season tickets would fill the standing areas.Just a suggestion.

why not just have the whole of 111/110 standing and then extend to 109/108 if it actually works etc?

obviously they won't where i am in 116 as the south stand gets given to the away fans for cup games.

also i can't understand why they would put the prices up? surely it should be about 20% cheaper considering you can get more people in?

-- Wed Feb 20, 2013 12:09 pm --

exactly, when the stadium gets increased, have east lower as standing areas and make it cheap as chips, which will increase people who didn't used to be able to afford it to go, people who want to sit will have more than enough seats to choose from.

if you can go to league games and stand for a tenner many more people will go.

Really want to see a terrace system that allows pay on the day for those that are already registered as blue members. I believe we miss out on so many last minute customers because currently attending a single game for the casual supporter is a 3 week logistic exercise in both planning time off and coinciding that with funds and transport arrangements.

If we had a huge terrace that could cover the bottom two of the three levels (when expanded) of the South Stand then that would be awesome and great news for getting fresh faces on impulse through the gates.

The south stand could be split 2/3 City and 1/3 Away across the 3 levels. The top tier would be seated and the bottom 2 tiers standing. If the away fans wanted they could have their 2nd tier seated as well if the fans preferred. I reckon that even with 1/3 of a 3 tier stan,d where the bottom 2 tiers are standing, would easily oblige the 5-6,000 away fans we need to give for FA Cup ties and alike.

An acceptable price for an adult terrace ticket being £25-30 pay on the day with juniors at £12-15. It would be free for any OAP daft enough to venture in there!

When i was invited to the club after the "old man" incident November 2011 to present my case .

It was said to my son and myself at this meeting that the club (MCFC ) where looking at the safe standing arangements in the German league .

That of coarse was 15 months ago .

Question i am going to the match this Sunday ( work permitting ) i will be in my usual seat in 109 i wonder what will happen if i cannot see and have to stand to see !!

I could do without being banned AGAIN .

Anybody on the first row want to swop with me on the second row ?

I just do not need the hassle !!

But i do want to go .

IF this was to go ahead with what has already been stipulated (back rows of 110 etc) would this mean that current season ticket holders in the rear rows of 110 (me being one) would get first priority on standing there next season?

Probably.

It just means that you'll have a few relocations in there with you... For every 10 existing "seats" there should be about 8 new standing spaces.

Football for a tenner?! I wish. That's Conference North prices.

why not? only in the standing areas.

i reckon £15 standing, £25 seating capped for all grounds no matter the game.
