Didn't look that good defensively the other night; both goals stemmed from his position. I know we signed Demichelis, as emergency cover, but I just can't see us buying someone at Sagna's age (31 next month?) to play the most demanding position on the pitch.

Oh God please no! This turned up in a little snippet during the January window, and has arisen once more on the OS. I just don't want to be reading about the possibility, however slight it may be, of us signing the worst players from other clubs. Reminds me of the Boateng deal. Someone should lose their job if we make a play for Sagna.
