Only when receiving club comes to agreement with existing club ... ie wages for the interim. Not saying it won't happen before with Sagna but 100k a week is a lot to pay just to make an early announcement to stop the flappers flapping.

Sagna signed for Arsenal in July 2007, therefore he is still registered with them until next month. He will not sign before July.

Bardsley has signed for stoke! And his contract expires the same day as Sagna! Players can agree terms with teams from other countries six months before their contract expires and team for the same country two months before it expires! The team that he is currently at have to honour his contract and continue to pay him to the day it expires and the contract from his new team kicks in the following day. He will still be an arsenal player until his contract expires but is free to agree terms with us and to announce it but I can't imagine arsenal want him to be posing in a city shirt while they are paying his wages, and I can't imagine city wanting to announce it without some pr.
