Salford City - moving to AJ Bell stadium (P9)

I very very occasionally visit those all you can eat buffet places but it gives me the same feeling I get when I visit Blackpool every ten years. I got it when I nipped in B and M bargains at the weekend to buy some cello tape.
I got it yesterday when I went to the Trafford centre, fifth circle of hell.....

From what I remember sale sharks have form for being terrible stadium owners/ forcing other teams out of their ground. Stockport county in particular had loads of problems.

would be easier if sale sharks got their own stadium in sale

They wanted it but Nimbys blocked it. That said the AJ Bell is not in Salford so why does the rats team want to go there ?

The Yonners of 92 tried to get their hands on Turn Moss playing fields as well for a training ground for this vanity project. Trafford council were complicit but thankfully enough opposition on the ground was mobilised to kill it off

I was a Sale Season ticket holder for quite a few years Friday night rugby at Heywood Rd was a great night out, the move to the Mersey misery was a horrible move brought on by Stockport being utterly skint, Kennedy was determined for both clubs to be sufficient on their own terms but in reality Sale was his baby so got most of the milk.

Friday night rugby/Saturday football absolutely fucked the pitch and so then the blame game really kicked off, Kennedy sold Stockport Co and let them have stadium use for peppercorn rent but then arguments over merchandising space reared up.

I hated the EP experience with a fucking vengeance, I had gone from being able to get a tram direct to Heywood Rd and have a seriously nice drink to having to get a train and tram or drive, the latter well nowhere to park and over zealous parking attendant’s, throw into the mix an awful supporter experience food and beverage wise and seating best suited to pigmy’s.

I had little trouble with the Stockport Co fans and totally got their grumblings as no one won.

And then the glorious opportunity to go the AJ Bellend on a Friday night traversing the M60 it was at this point I made my excuses and told them to sling it.
