How much did Allardyce spend compared to Koeman and Marco Silva?

I should hope that Silva is capable of finishing higher than 8th, otherwise Everton have spent an absolute fortune to either stand still or go backwards.

It's also like he forgets he took his Blackburn team to utd a few years back and meekly surrendered about 8 goals iirc
Think he also played a weakened team as,was quite common in those days, there was no point taking on utd on their own ground. Mick mcCarthy at wolves and a couple of others did the same thing. Pathetic !
Amazing how submissive some managers were in the good old days when the prem was competitive ,the best league on the world and utd dominant .
How times change...

You've just won daftest comment of the week. He didn't have a summer transfer window.
You're correct though that koeman had a lot of issues.
There's of course no guarantees about where Everton finish this season, it will be harder to finish 7th this year I imagine, but give him 2 seasons to implement his style and mould the sqaud to his liking and he'll construct a far better team than Allardyce would've been capable of.
I'm sure Everton fans are looking forward to some aesthetically pleasing football at least

The only reason he didn't get a summer transfer window is because Everton were always planning to bring in Silva and give him the budget.

I doubt they've done that to finish lower than 8th.

I also doubt that Everton supporters will be satisfied with 'some aesthetically pleasing football' if they don't finish higher than last season.

We've seen with pep it's not guaranteed to work out 1st season. When such a massive change in philosophy happens to play a more complex game of football, time is needed.
Of course Allardyce has never needed this time of adjustment as most players are capable of playing his low risk game but reach a ceiling (as we saw with West ham) and can't go any further.
You seem to think finishing 8th with less than 50 points is an achievement with that sqaud. I must confess I'm surprised by that

Or were they just outclassed . Just as they were on their own ground earlier in the season.
It's easy to say a team didn't try when City put on a passing master class...we heard it at Wembley when won the LC v arsenal.
Chelea didn't drop 2 or 3 of their best players v City last season.they were simply mesmerised by our superior attacking play.
BfS utd v blackburn meekly surrendered by openly admitting his team had no chance of beating utd and wrote the game off before a ball had been kicked.
Cue embarrassing defeat .
My example is completely different to yours .
 
I bet he's on a retainer from Leicester for when the inevitable occurs.

He got brought in after the window and even though they finished mid table he turned a team with Walcott, Rooney, Sigurdsonn and others into a boring kick and rush outfit. He also had plenty of talented youngsters to choose from.
The fans were so disillusioned with the football on show they wanted him out, Christ 17th playing decent stuff equates to better than 8th watching shite!!

They wanted Silva because at least they’ll entertain, 8th might as well be 17th as there’s fuck all achieved in either spot except survival.

They didn’t give him time and money as he’d have spent a fucking fortune on the likes of Ryan Shawcross and Petiers from Stoke plus probably a couple of Swansea players who are just functional.

Whether he kept teams up in the past is totally irrelevant, it’s about him telling a decorated manager being told by this **** how to play the game. His idea of it is all percentages as one ex player said when being interviewed on Goals on Sunday whilst he was Bolton manager, fined if we shoot from distance as you’re unlikely to score!!
