Sam Allardyce: Epitome of why English football has lagged behind

If it was that easy why did Koeman fail with pretty much the same squad?
He's not exactly a fantastic man manager, sometimes things break down in the dressing room.
Koemans dismal failure doesn't make Allardyce getting everton into 8th that much more impressive. I'm fairly confident Silva would have been able to do the same while playing good football in comparison to the turgid risk free football Allardyce plays

They wanted Silva because at least they’ll entertain, 8th might as well be 17th as there’s fuck all achieved in either spot except survival.

How entertaining were Hull?

I don't think there are many Premier League chairman who think that 8th is no different than 17th.

I think you'll find it does.

If it was that easy to keep a team up whilst playing free-flowing football, they would have brought someone else in.

Silva failed to keep Hull up and was working the same magic at Watford when they potted him.

Not the hull arguement again. Allardyce had nearly an entire season whereas Silva had a few months.
They were pretty much dead and buried when Silva took over and he got them within a few points of survival with a sqaud that wasn't good enough.
If we want to compare accolades of both managers could you remind me what Sam has won in his long career?

Talk us through Chelsea's tactics against City at the Etihad last season...

Worked out terribly, likeLy cost the manager his job and effectively ensured a player's revolt.

Problem with big Sam, he'd have signed another bunch of really tall cloggers. Ensuring that Everton are stuck with his way for years. He, Hughes, Mourinho have a similar pattern, tried and tested senior pros.
It doesn't breed progression or excitment.

I would sooner have a dinosaur in the dugout than BFS.

Hull were almost dead and buried when Silva took over. He very nearly worked a miracle and kept them up.
