Chris Samba has revealed that he is looking to leave Blackburn during the winter transfer window, with the defender saying 'it is time for a change'.
The highly-rated centre-half has seen his future called into question on a regular basis over recent weeks, with Tottenham and Queens Park Rangers reported to have lodged sizeable bids.
It has also been suggested that ambitious Ligue 1 outfit Paris St Germain are keen, with their new manager Carlo Ancelotti having seen Samba up close during his time in charge of Chelsea.
The France-born Congo international has spent the last five years at Ewood Park, experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions during that time.
He was persuaded to pen a new deal with the club shortly after the arrival of Indian owners Venky's, but he has grown disillusioned with life at Rovers of late and is actively seeking a switch elsewhere.
"Lately, mentally, it has been difficult," Samba told L'Equipe.
"I tried to maintain my level of performance but I sense that it is time for a change. The club doesn't evolve at all. I'm resigned.
Ambitious
"I've always put the interests of the club before my own.
"I've invested a lot, always tried to lead by example, but things have not gone as I was told. I hope people will understand me."
PSG have already poached coach Paul Clement from Blackburn to become Ancelotti's assistant and are they now being heavily linked with Samba.
Insisting he was unaware of any offer from the capital club, Samba added: "In any case, it's flattering. The club has reached another level - it's not the PSG of a few years ago.
"There is Leonardo, Ancelotti. I'm sure they will bring in great players.
"We shall see if the interest is confirmed or not, but it would be good for me to return home.
"The most important thing is to find an ambitious club. I would love to experience something different."
