Samir Nasri .. Ouch!!

The only recent ones who get any sort of stick are Distin for refusing to be sold despite us being in the shit (and then ending up at Everton...) and Sir Joseph of Barton, for being a complete knobend.

I live near Barton (not the plonker, the 'suburb' of Eccles) please don't insult the people of Barton!! :-)

Samir got the last laugh as did Clichy, Barry, Lescott and Milner. Players like Aguero and Silva were derided by some of their *own* fans for picking the lesser of the team.

Nobody should be doubting any of them now.

I remember Villa fans going on about Barry, saying they'd have been happy if he'd joined Liverpool (!) to progress his career but it was wrong that he joined a 'small club' like City.

But look at it from the players' POV: More money + medals. Who could ask for more? I'm sure some of them are congratulating themselves on making the right decision. Haven't we all done that at some point in our lives? (Well, all except the terminally unlucky/bad judges.)

Interesting that Chairman highlighted City's response to the defeat at Arsenal as a key moment. I suppose that's obvious really but all these bitter critics do is just fuel our motivation.

They'd be best advised to concentrate on their own club in future.

Thank you Arsenal for Nasri, and thank you to some of the Arsenal fans who have motivated him all season

From the Independent:

Samir Nasri has thrown the doubts of Arsenal fans back at them, in the aftermath of Sunday's title win. "People at Arsenal tried to make out that I came here for the money. I hope they are watching me now, collecting my Premier League winners' medal," he said. "I believe they have not won a trophy for many years now."

After all the shit everyone gave him, especially that twat piers so up his own arse morgan! - I say fair play to the lad.. and he is correct isn't he.. when did arsenal last win anything?

Do you realize how many Arsenal fans are out there? More fans sung Nasri's name and wore shirts with his name on the back than boo'ed him.

It's the nature of the game and the emotions people invest in it. Love can turn to hate just like that. If the situations were reversed, would there be no section of City fans booing?
We didn't boo Shaun Wright-Phillips when he was our best player and Chelsea's new money bought him off us. In fact, we still worshipped him. We've always been like that as a set of fans. But you boo players - like you did with Eboue - when he's had a bad game, for your club. Great support!
