Samir Nasri

I remember the first interview with him on the club website, he was wearing a pair of ridiculous poncy loafers with no socks and jeans that stopped at his ankle. Looked a right dick. I knew from that moment he was a mistake!

I'm hoping you will be on the selection panel for his replacement, mate. This sort of thorough psychological profiling is just what we need. ;)

Good player, better than some worse than others

NAME the ones he's better than? I didnt want him in the first place and to pick him ahead of an in-form Milner summed Mancini up for me. The pair of them need to go asap for the sake of the club.

I would like to see him on a tube back to london.

Everybody disses garcia in here but the reality is that he has limited ability but he is trying his best wheras nasri is quite talented but seems to not be able to put the effort in both physically and mentally.

A bold, brave, bale transfer during the summer will be a great victory for us. Wishful thinking I know but we need to put up a fight againts madrid.

He just needs a new team.

Would like to see him behind a lone striker against Leeds. See what happens.
Why? Silva is far better in that position IMO. Nasri contributed ONE decent pass on Saturday, that's simply not good enough.

You don't seem to understand

Nasri is better than Silva.

and furthermore

Yeah but we might as well try and get the best out of Nasri in at least one match. He's clearly not a winger, he's never played well there apart from the 5-1 at Spurs. Never even played well on the wing at Arsenal.

The only thing Nasri does for our team is slow play down! He holds the ball as long as he can till hes about to get tackled then puts Zabaleta or Silva who are marked under pressure.

Ask any Arsenal fan, he played off the right not the middle when he was going through his best patch of form. Your right on his penetrative runs but it was from the right.

He is not a playmaker that dominates games and never has been, at most an attacker that makes runs from the second line.
nasri's best form came as an attacking midfielder behind forwards ask any arsenal fan they will tell you wen fabregas left and he moved into that position they got the best form out of him! fact

When did Fabregas leave and Nasri get slotted into that position to get the best form? Didn't they both leave at the same time save for two games?
I meant when fabregas was out injured sorry!

He is the master of turning back on himself when in possession. It is a gift, don't you know.

The problem is if we sell him we're only going to get 15 mill and that's money lost on a player yet again something we can't afford to do anymore. I say stick with him and support him he just might pay us back oneday with a bit of luck. Don't get me wrong I don't like him one bit and I don't think he's done anything for us but who do you get for 15 mill these days with the same quality as him. It's more important than ever now that the scouting system and board do there homework on signing players character and quality wise!

Better to sell a player and take a hit, than continue to bury your head in the sand and not admit you bought the wrong player in the first place.

Especially so, when that person is earning over £150k a week!

I agree. I think its time to cut our losses. He just doesn't have the mentality to meet the expectations of the club.

+1. The free kick against Utd summed it all up in one sorry episode for me.

Because it's nasri's best position. Give him a run of games there and see if he can reproduce his best form. Milner right, Silva left, Aguero up front.

I've defended Nasri on a number of occasions; not because I'm a huge fan but because I do think he has had unfair criticism. However, he has been a big disappointment and I think the squad needs reshaping in the summer so he'd be on the list to move on. The guy has talent but is a wimp and is paid too much to be just a squad player.
