Samir Nasri

Yesterday we played almost our strongest team in our preferred formation & yet again Nasri proved what a great player he is.

He's had a season disrupted by disciplinary & injury issues & has never had the opportunity to properly get going. Unless a miracle occurs, we've relinquished our title but for me all is not lost. We're still in the FA Cup & we still have 2nd to secure & a derby to try & win. My hope is that we use the remaining games to ensure a strong finish & to start planning for next season.

Hopefully Nasri proved yesterday & will continue to prove that he can be integral to our future. There are few players in the Premiership with his natural ability & this shouldn't be taken lightly. Kompany, Yaya, in fact most of the team started below our expected standards this season, so for some to keep picking on Nasri as the reason for our 'not as expected' season is very very wrong IMHO.

The Derby goal damaged his reputation, but yesterday he was unplayable. He seems to be a players who has purple patches so let's hope he's coming into one now

How can one decent match make us forget what a shit he's been all season if he had his fuckin head on straight maybe the point gap wouldn't be so massive..Even in France he has a bad reputation of being a hot head that doesn't give a fuck I for one am not letting him off the hook after one decent match..this is what Nasri does he's shit for weeks maybe months and comes with a decent match everybody forgets how shit he's been " oh hes class hes a great player" and then he goes back into hiding in his pile of shit ..SHIT

The derby is gone now & I've completely eradicated it from my mind, but there's some fans who seem permanently damaged by RVP's last minute deflected goal & will never forgive Nasri for the part he played in the goal which is bonkers. If that defeat cost us the title, I could understand some of their anger, but we're 15 points behind ManUre & some still want to blame Nasri for that.

I don't think Nasri lost form as such it was more like he couldn't gain momentum because of injury & suspension.

-- Sun Mar 31, 2013 8:48 am --

Neville started this because nasri decided its city for me, I mean how dare nasri let uncle bob wrapover at Trafford down, what was it wrapover said as soon as Samir nasri knows united want him then he will go nowhere else, straight after the qpr game Samir said I knew I made the right decision coming to city, I just wish people would get off his back and Neville would fk off the red biased tw-t, Neville knew what he was doing first Balo now Samir

Exactly. Neville does generally good analysis but with us he just can't help himself...
The problem is Neville is an agent provocateur he has pulled the wool over a lot of people's eyes, could you see Neville castigating and singling out a scum player, no because his mentor would jump all over him, I have seen lots of players duck out of a line up this season and guess what not a fkn peep out of Neville, mark my words this is vengeance for Samirs snub and two fingers at the scums advances, every fkr on this planet knows how cynical we blues are, they just light the blue touch paper and away we go a fire cracker throughout the side? They know if David silva gets a bad one then without Samir we would be fkd, for me Samir has played his part in two trophies that's good enough for me.

He will have to play really well over a long period of time to convince City fans of his value....there is no doubt he is a talented player though.

That last minute giveaway goal in the Derby left such a sour taste.

Finding it so difficult to stay rational when the subject of Nasri and his overall contribution is dicussed here or on other social networks and this little soundbite just about sums up the general concensus amongst fans and if I'm being truly honest is leaving a distinctly sour taste. Yes his contribution can be questioned in games along with quite a few within the squad this and many seasons before but some of the blind hatred towards this particular player is showing up the crass herd mentality that pervades on the terraces and has hounded out many other players before. It's now getting extremely tedious and showing a slightly small time mentality amongst some of our fans to single out one player for an albeit costly lack of courage in a key game against our bitterest rivals with such ferocity.

Today he ,like many games he's played for us in our Championship winning season, contributed and looked he certainly looks more influential given a roaming free role and his involvement for Silva's goal was class and if it'd been the other way round the wank feast would've been in full force. The part he played last season along with every other player cannot be underestimated.

We made a terrace hero out of Mario who gave some of the most neglectful lacklustre and frankly disgraceful performances ever seen in a City shirt at various points, Vincent Kompany ducked out of a ball in the last minute at the Bernabeau, Kolarov and Dzeko constantly produce shite half hearted performances Silva has gone missing Tevez refused to play and yet Nasri is receiving more bile than i've witnessed from the masses for quite some time and we need to just give it a fucking rest some heads need to be given a massive wobble and if the main reason is that piss poor attempt in the wall in the last minute against the scum then we are being shown to be the one thing we hate and refute with passion and that is ..Bitter !!

I think you are correct in all you say there.

Good player but needs consistency, will move on in the summer though and will probably do well, then we will no doubtaly have the " why did we sell Nasri" thread

These people are the same who call Dzeko, Garcia etc every week, they just don't have a clue. Nasri hasn't had a good season but he had a good game yesterday.

Nasri's a good player that needs game's under his belt now. Then play him properly next season (not out on the right wing).

I think he's had a reasonable season when he's played, get's more shit than Yaya,Silva/Aguero/Tevez who've all been well below par this season.
