We aren't going to take Sahin on a loan deal, and he isn't good enough to get playing time at Real Madrid so I question how much he'd get with us. And Cazorla is just an inferior version of Nasri that scores marginally more frequently (but against inferior competition). Relax, we'll get some good players, but these two aren't for us.

Didn't RVP say he wanted to leave because Arsenal didn't look to have any intent to win things? With these signings it looks intent enough. If he stays they'll be scary.

Well imagine if for instance we were trying to sign Messi & Ronaldo but obviously, it would be very very difficult (an extreme example I know, but it may help you to get the picture seeing as you are astounded).

If we decided to stop Arsenal from signing Carzola & Sahin, then we would first have to give up on Ronaldo & Messi (as we wouldn't be signing all 4).

Therefore, people going on & on about random players they would like us to sign is just bollocks when Mancini is busy trying to sign the players he actually wants.

From what I've seen Cazorla is a two footed Iniesta (obviously not as good). He's every bit as good as Silva was in his Valencia days, admittedly Silva was younger and has improved at City. I am confident that he is better than Nasri and will out perform him if he signs.

Sahin would get games for City, no doubt what so ever. He wouldn't be a starter but he would play a lot. I think Madrid know how good he is which is why they won't include a buyout fee in any loan as they don't want another van der Vaart.

After saying this, I agree that you probably will sign more fitting players for your team but I doubt they will be better than these two, they'll just suit your system more.

I hope we get gervinho to replace Nasri who I think is actually better player

Carzola's a excellent player but not as good as Silva(Silva gets picked ahead of him for Spain.)

Think Cazorla is better than Nasri tbh.

The reason we are interested in Sahin is because of Jack's injury. If he was fit in pre-season we wouldnt have any interest.

I'm not arguing the fact that Silva is better, I said that Cazorla is at the same level as Silva was during his Valencia days. Silva has stepped up a gear at City, it remains to be seen if Cazorla will do the same.

Most of our fans believed Gervinho would score more than Nasri simply because he's more direct but I don't understand how anyone could believe he would be a better overall player, probably just due to bitterness that he left.

The Sahin loan deal is testimony to how far the Arsenal stock has slipped recently, apart from losing their better players they are now being used by bigger clubs as a suitable home for recuperating players.

Carzola is indeed a good player but just like mata was supposed to be better than silva when he signed for chelsea the fact is its unlikely that he will be as good because bottom line is if he was he would be winging his way to RM or Barca right now and every arsenal fan knows it.

With Sahin i completely agree with happy what use is sahin if you dont get to keep him.

Arsenal have gotten the fee down to £12.5million apparently, can't fathom why more teams aren't in for Cazorla at that price!

because maybe, just maybe he isnt as good as most people like to think he is, not doubting that he is a good player but much like kagawa if he was that good then their would be significantly more people in for him.

Wenger and Ferguson are no oracles or geniuses occassionally they pull a youngster out of the wilderness like fabregas or ronaldo but fact is carzola is 27 if he was that good hed be at RM or Barca by now.

Silva has never played for Barcelona or Real Madrid, hence he is not as good as everyone rates him. That logic doesn't work, there isn't an unlimited amount of squad space at these two clubs and just because a player isn't at Barcelona or Real Madrid doesn't mean they aren't class.

Silva is not yet 27 yes there is ltd sqaud space but the fact is if he was that good for that price thats where he would be for 12.5m arsenal are not an attractive prospect if he was that good.

I didnt say he wasnt class what im saying is if he was as good as you eould like to believe, arsenal would be well down on the list of people looking to acquire him. You got podolski and giroud what top clubs did you beat out for them? whose team would they walk into?. You get sahin its because no top club would take a player on loan with no hope of keeping them.

What i am saying is just because you laud these players and big them up the reality is you are getting players that wouldnt get into your closest rivals teams.

Probably wrong here but isn't he a similar player to Nasri?

Plus, he's no spring chicken.

Very similar to Nasri and Silva in my opinion. I reckon if we're after a winger it'll be someone with explosive pace rather than another cultured one like Cazorla.

Funny you should say that.

For the record, Kagawa is a excellent player.

at no point have i said that they arent good players just not as good as people make them out to be thats all im saying.

kagawa was a quality player in a wonderful midfield in a different league lets see how he does in a different league in an average midfield.

Who did you beat for Silva's signature? Yaya's?

I'm sorry but Cazorla would walk into every team in the league apart from City. I'm not bigging them up into being completely world class players but they are exactly what we needed in our team and are very solid additions.

We will see next season how good some of these players are, I suspect with your view of them that you will be suprised.

All of your strikers are better than Poldolski and Giroud, that doesn't mean they aren't excellent signings.
