he's fuckin 20 years old
And Balo's 21 (so is Savic btw), and Bale's 22. If you're good enough it doesn't matter how old you are.
Agreed, Richards made his sensational start at 19 and captained the side when he was 21. He's still only 23. I said before this game he needs to be loaned out. You learn from mistakes but let him learn without costing us vital points/trophies.

↑ It's different for central defenders mate. That position carries the most responsibility on the pitch.

Strikers are good at a younger age because their position relies more so on skill than experience.

Central defenders are better at an older age because their position relies heavily on experience, and then skill is a close second.

Btw, Mario is 21. But that's rare because there is no other striker his age that is as good.

I said Mario was 21?

Plus, what about all these FM warriors screaming out for Subotic and Hummels who are both relatively young (both 23).

I believe he will come good, but i think that he needs to be loaned out first.

And Hummels used to be shite, making all sorts of mistakes. Bayern let him go. He got consistent first team football, and now he's a well rounded defender.

He only played one game for Bayern?

You make it sound like we've given them 2 weeks off for a break. We've got no choice at the moment, not many teams in the Premiership have a better 4th choice centre half.
Couldn't agree more, if we'd sent him on loan somewhere we'd have NO cover. If he made a mistake (personally I didn't think he did, but I've only seen it once, live) he'll learn from it.

Its a squad, he played, we won, therefore he cost us nothing today, he'll not be first choice in our next league game, and in the two league games he's played because of Vinny's red card we have gained SIX points.

Looked very good to me until his head went after their first goal - wasn't convinced it was entirely his fault, as he did well to get anything on it at all at full stretch, just slightly unfortunate where the ball dropped, and that Hart made a rare misjudgement to compound it.

Was disappointed to see Lescott berating him for it. Wished Kompany had been then to do the captain's thing and pull Savic together.
I'm happy with him. Not ready yet, but looks like he could be top drawer in a year or two. Gonna make mistakes (look at Luiz at Chelsea - who is also brilliant), it is important we support him at this point, not do the usual City thing and try to destroy him.

I think he would do better alongside Kompany.

First 60 minutes, until Spurs scored , he looked excellent. He won headers, got stuck in and made key interceptions consistently. Then he made the mistake for Defoes goal and from then he looked very shaky. But he is a decent player and he can only get better with experience.

He came through the youth ranks, loaned him out to Dortmund. Bayern didn't think he was worth keeping.
afaik
I also believe Hummels wanted to stay at Dortmund.

He was very raw at that stage of his career too.

Oh so you watched him when he was coming through the Bayern youth team, when he made all these mistakes and was shite
