There are plenty who come across as cocks on the field of play though, but this lad does seem he can walk the walk as well, I was more meaning his post match interview, silly little smile at the end but as he matures that will be cut out.

I'm a bit miffed he ain't with us, but sooner him be where he is than say at Liverpool for example.
I liked that smile. Shows a mischievous and human side to him rather than some of the more robotic interviewees that we get. I thought he came across well.

Inferior how exactly? Smacks of media hype bullshit and rag-like arrogance this kind of statement.
Inferior by being lower in quality status and rank?

Here are England’s opponents over the last few years :
USA
Croatia
Czechia
Montenegro
Netherlands
Switzerland
Czechia
Montenegro
Bulgaria
Kosovo
Czechia
Bulgaria
Montenegro
Kosovo
Iceland
Denmark
Wales
Belgium
Denmark
Ireland
Belgium
Iceland
San Marino
Albania
Poland
Austria
Romania
Croatia
Scotland
Czechia
Germany
Ukraine
Denmark
Italy
Hungary
Andorra
Poland
Andorra
Hungary
Albania
San Marino
Switzerland
Ivory Coast
Hungary
Germany
Italy
Hungary
Italy
Germany
Iran
USA
Wales
Senegal
France
Italy
Ukraine
Malta
North Macedonia
Ukraine
Scotland
…and next up is Australia, Italy, Malta and North Macedonia.

The only teams who were arguably better than England there are France and Croatia, but there wasn’t much in it. I personally think we had a better team that could have been picked against France than France put out.

Netherlands, Italy and Germany over the last four or five years have had their worst teams in their history.

He’s almost literally right by saying 99% of the teams we face are inferior opposition. It’s probably around 95%.

And there are no proper top quality international teams anymore, even in the latter stages of any tournament. There are no 1988 Netherlands, 1998-2006 France, 2002 Brazil, 2004 Portugal, 2006 Italy, 2006-14 Spain, 2010-16 Germany level teams anymore in the world. Yet look at all the current top sides’ squads and England’s reckons up to anyone else’s.

Yes him under Pep would have been something, the kid is a generational talent if he carries on.

……………….Kane
Grealish Foden Bellingham Saka
……………….Rice

That to me is world class. Nobody we possess is better and as soon as Southgate realises it he will never be able to shake off the shit manager tag.
That can't happen because Southgate always plays with 2 defensive mids, regardless of the opposition. In fact he has often played with a 5 man defence and 2 holding mids.

I don’t think you can blame greed for the treatment he’s getting. He’s getting abuse from people who aren’t even football fans now.

A lot of it is coming from online, in particular the so called football YouTube experts. To me he’s being bullied now, when he hasn’t done anything wrong really
Oh I agree mate. The "people" giving him stick are those who've never been to an actual game of football on their life and don't understand the game. They've seen a couple of snippets from twitter or YouTube and basing their bullying on that.

I do think if he made a move somewhere else then he'd be free from the abuse, pressure and can enjoy the game. It's evident Poundland Pep doesn't want him as well.

Why should he be expected to leave his current employer without being paid the money he's entitled to?

Well said, shame to see abuse thrown at him last night for celebrating a goal.
England need someone with a bit of character and arrogance and we should be grateful to have a young lad this talented - suppose a few desperately hate England and want them to lose so being bitter of Bellingham is understandable in that sense.
