Scottish flags at COMS...

Why?

I saw a few today, which I had not noticed before...

We have no Scottish players in the first team, and thus have little or no reason to have any association with Scotland, so why are these bigots trying to associate themselves with our religion-free club?

They tried their best to tag along when we played Celtic in a pre season friendly at Celtic Park.

Why do these people try and associate themselves with us?

The sectarian nonsense that they bring is a crippling disease which we need to steer clear of. And pardon my ignorance, but I thought the Scottish hated the English, well that's certainly the general consensus isn't it?

We are a religion-free club, and always have been. Please take your disease elsewhere.
fu*king disease?!?! my dads scottish but moved to manchester when he was like 4 so suported mcfc and he considers himself scottish, wich makes me half scottish, whats wrong with that, so FU*K OFF YOU RACIST!

All Man City fans are welcome at Eastlands...

So what?

Ignore the bigots boys, they ARE a minority...

They should have their own flags too... Maybe something red with a demon on?

Christ, (oops look religion!)

I knew if I saw your username pop up on my thread you would drag your typically moronic and ignorant comments with you.

I am no advocate of the National front, and may I ask you what could I have said any differently to avoid being labelled something like that whilst still engaging in this sensitive subject?

If you cannot see the point I was making then you certainly are not one of the people who this thread was aimed at, you shouldn't bother reading anything which doesn't come with a diagram and a pretty picture.

keep dying in this pointless corner your fighting for pal, say whatever i cant be bothered to reply again, the jokes on you.

this thread is getting ridiculous, im taking a stance with this fellar.

I’m from Scotland too and try to get to as many games as possible and I am going to keep trying to get down to as many games as I can if that is okay with you singingtheblues?

Why is it that you associate someone with a Scotland flag at a Manchester City game with Bigotry? Would it be because Rangers and Celtic with their history of bigotry play in Scotland?

I'm in no way a bigot so should I get rid of my Scotland Flag or change my ways and become a bigot?

Rangers supporters club has been associated with MCFC for years. You're obviously oblivous to this fact, if you'd have been a true blue you'd have known this.

Nothing at all wrong with that my friend, but I don't think we can infer the OP is a racist. What we can all agree upon surely is that there is no room for sectarian behaviour, as displayed at Celtic Park. Whether or not the folks who brought the flags yesterday belonged to that grouping is another thing altogether; it is a possibility I suppose but I have seen no evidence to that effect so far.

I recall standing on the Kippax in the seventies when all the 'Rangers - Celtic' chants were going on and must admit to have been rather baffled as to what an earth that was all about. Living in Scotland in the eighties unfortunately brought me into contact with some of the intolerant bores who hold these extremist views but I must stress that these people are very much in a minority, as elsewhere and all decent Scots (which is the vast majority) are absolutely revulsed by these cretins.

Live and let live.

Everyone is welcome to hang a flag at any ground as long as they are deemed non rascist, non violent and don't upset anyone.

What i don't understand is how they found the money to buy the flag, that's a lot of begging on street corners with a dog and a sleeping bag.

the bottom line is, city cannot fill the stadium with match going blues from manchester.

everyone should be welcome, but there is a minority element at city, who do not seem to welcome outsiders.

if city are to become successful then there will be more "outsiders" which can only be for the good of city.

being an outsider myself nearly everyone i have met has been nothing short of fucking ace, but there are some who i wouldnt piss on if they were on fire.
