Some might say (see what I did there, given the events of the weekend?) that your lads are getting whoosed this afternoon! You could have least picked two teams from the same country lol
Or am I being woooshed ….

I would think Rangers would have a far bigger support throughout England , Wales and Northern Ireland than most English clubs.Genuine question
Why do English channels and sky cover Scottish football?
Does anyone in England care? Do we really need to know how Alloa v Cowdenbeath went?
I know Sri Lanka have only lost two wicket before lunch but still a long way to go. I’ve got faith it will be all over today…Some might say (see what I did there, given the events of the weekend?) that your lads are getting whoosed this afternoon!

Sky cover the whole of the UK, including Scotland. I'm assuming that there is sufficient interest and subscriptions up there to make it financially worthwhile for Sky to screen it. Also, certain clubs' fans in England have an affinity with one or other of the old firm. And would probably want to watch those games. And, I'd guess that 90% of live Scottish games feature one of the Glasgow duo. The exceptions would probably be the Edinburgh and Dundee derbies. The chances of seeing Alloa vs Cowdenbeath live on the telly would be minimal.
British. Aren’t we. I’m more perplexed as to why Sky and the Beeb cover the ROI national team. Not like the folk there even pay the licence fee.
You could at least have picked two teams in the same division. ;-)
See the first sentence of my earlier post. Scots will probably say the same about games like Crawley vs MK Dons. But why do we get “news” about minor Scottish games on Sky?
“Now over to some farmer’s field as Stenhousmuir have just got a corner against Fife”.
It’s literally mental when you think about it.
Presume it’s just a legacy of when English teams were banned from Europe- can’t remember for why- and the Old Firm attracted a number of internationals, which broadened its appeal to England.Case rested.
