Not forgetting , of course, that goods produced in England/Wales will now be imports from a foreign country, with the associated costs, taxes etc, that cost will feed through to the consumer.
Are you sure about that? I was under the impression that there's free trade within the EU and as such they're not subject to any import taxes (with the possible exception of alcohol/tobacco).

And Scotland were voted into the EU when exactly?!

Another of Salmond's statements of fact which is not his decision to make. The EU insist that new members sign up to usage of the Euro, not instantly, but certainly within a timescale that isn't too lengthy. That's not what Salmond wants, or has said will happen, so therefore no EU.

Salmond's always wanted Scotland to be in the Euro, its just not been fashionable to say so recently

I hope thy vote yes but by tiny tiny margin so that Cameron can turn round and say that it wasn't a big enough result to carry on the terms of our referendum agreement and therefore you are staying.

When would independence actually happen if the Scots people vote yes and if this (last resort measure was not invoked [political shitstorm if he had the balls too]) are we looking at 2015? 16? 17?

51% is all that's needed for independence. 24th March 2016 is the date agreed by uk and scottish government when scotland will be fully independent.

So now Sir Bob Geldof has come out as a No.

Would he be in favour of his own country rejoining the United Kingdom? Just asking although I suspect not.
