20% of Europe's fish
 25% of Europe's tidal potential.
The Crown Estate, which owns the sea bed, has awarded leases for just over 1.6 gigawatts of marine projects in the Pentland Firth and Orkney Waters - potentially enough to power 750,000 households.
Scotland boasts 25% of Europe's offshore wind resources.
60% of Europe's oil reserves.

Really? Would Europe vote against scotland? They voted in Croatia in 2013 and they can't offer any of this?

Spain has already said it will vehemently oppose Scotlands entry into Europe.

Ssshhhh......Salmond claimed it's just scaremongering from that lot in Westminster.

you do realise that the vast amount of what you mentioned there is currently subsidised by the UK taxpayers to make it cheaper for you?
Just paying for prescriptions would wipe that out.

I have this mental picture of a yes voter, draped in a saltire thinking he will be getting a weekly cheque of his share of the whiskey and oil profits lol as they all become very very rich.

Why the hell should the rest of the UK allow a foreign country to use the same currency?

Any country can use any freely tradable currency.
Hence Zimbabwe use the US dollar.

Not exactly impartial are they? Catalunia and the Basque country. Spain's determination to hang on to these places meant they still haven't recognized Kosovo, which seceded from Serbia.

Only 1country needs to say no and Scotland are screwed.
Spain have already said No.

A Spanish chappie has just said the initial application has to be supported by EVERY member state to even be considered.

The UK seconds that emotion.

While previously stating I was unimpressed by Irishman Bob Geldof, domiciled in Kent, voting No if he had a vote.

I am somewhat surprised but also impressed that Billy Bragg has taken the opposite view. His take is that Scotland can be an example of how a post imperial country can redefine itself.
