Scottish Independence

Yet you support one and not the other?

Confusing and people from all political persuasion voted to leave and a majority are not English nationalists, especially those from Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Other than that do you have a point to make?

I thought you'd be all over someone pointng out hypocrisy.

Yeah I do but I predict like last time the country will say no.

Really? seriously, violence to silence the no group? absolutely bollocks and you know it. cmon, get a grip. Ben-jani, making guesses based on nothing but a surface connection, i can get, but yiu Do know better.

Yes i found the indyref unpleasant, and tedious, and it got on my tits. but never did it get as bad as you want to portray. Or as bad as what we've seen from tge brexit mob on foreigners. The odd nutter maybe, but not a trend.

To be fair the UK probably could do OK outside the EU like Norway does, if we had a deal with the EU like Norway does, however the government don't want that. Similarly an independent Scotland could probably manage the same way , Denmark , Ireland, Holland do. I’d rather it didn't feel the need to, but I fear an independent Scotland inside the EU less than a UK hard or no deal Brexit for the UK.
As for the SNP , Ive done alright under them, voted for them, as a lot of English people here do, and so far not supported independence, its why they have been so successful , though the Labour implosion has helped, but you look where they've come from in the 20 years of Holyrood and it isn't down to Nationalism, especially the transfer of that success to Westminster where they used to do worse than in Scottish elections.

England has a top 3 financial capital city, whilst this will be diminished following Brexit, if we strike a deal and the City can trade with Europe, it’ll still be incredibly strong.

If Scotland vote to leave the UK, financial companies in the Scotland will panic and will move south. Whilst finance is 7% of their GDP, that could swiftly go overnight I fear and losing that much would be a greater loss than the UK as a whole lost in 2008.

The only way they’ll be able to stay competitive is to match right wing economic policies that the Tories will in no doubt implement.

That’s at odds with the entire point of independence.

Actually I do. Were I French or German or any other of the 27 I would not want to keep the UK in against their wishes, although I'd prefer it if they stayed.
Don't want Scotland to leave but realize its not my decision to make.

I think he was referring to me and no, I am not a nationalist, nor do I support a English nationalist movement so no, I dont I'm afraid.

The UK voted to leave the EU.

but you do support one and not the other?

I was using the singular generically not pointing a finger at you.

Well the alternative is to vote for a left wing party, that promises further devolution, if you don’t like the Tories or the whole British establishment.

There’s a fella, can’t seem to recall his name, North London based, doesn’t like Tories either or the British establishment, wants to offer another Brexit vote and politically speaking aligns with Scotland’s leftism, nah the name has escaped me.
got it in one. No attractive alternative.
