Scottish Independence

Really? seriously, violence to silence the no group? absolutely bollocks and you know it. cmon, get a grip. Ben-jani, making guesses based on nothing but a surface connection, i can get, but yiu Do know better.

Yes i found the indyref unpleasant, and tedious, and it got on my tits. but never did it get as bad as you want to portray. Or as bad as what we've seen from tge brexit mob on foreigners. The odd nutter maybe, but not a trend.
I think you read that wrong tbf I think he agrees that BJ was going over the top

Read my last reply and come back if you still want me to answer this?

You and I are quite similar.

We both diminish (to ourselves as much as to anyone else) the nationalism in both campaigns, i in the independence and you in brexit.

We are both kidding ourselves.

I at least make some acknowledgement of it, however, and don't outright deny the bad. You have a lot to defend, i get it, having been called all sorts i guess. but you know fine well, i guess, that out of the 17.4m, of which circa 15m are english, nationalism played a huge part. not for a second blanketing you in that btw.

FFS I was asked this.....

Sure do you not think it's a bit overboard to predict a toxic referendum campaign with nationalist violence seeking to silence the unionist voice?

I replied, yeah I do as in yes i do think that's a bit overboard or in other words not going too happen.

I was using the singular generically not pointing a finger at you.

But you make the mistake of forgetting Welsh, Northern Irish and Scots also voted to leave.

They are not "English nationalists".

You might have a point if we actually voted on an English independence question which we didn't and never will imo.

I get why the result is broken down by some as it excuses why they lost the vote or makes a case for the result to be ignored or for independence etc but we voted as UK citizens and the question asked was should the UK remain or leave the EU.

Nothing nationalistic about that but will cede it asked do we as a nation want political independence from the EU.
