I paid £580 in Level 3 when ground 1st opened I'm now level 1 and I've just paid £635.

There's not one set answer but I've gone up from £500 new to £507 renewed to £550 renewed to £600 renewed in 216 over 4 seasons. From memory, early Seasoncards up there were £350.

£350 not a chance mate reason I moved from top to bottom was to save myself £s I renewed after 2 seasons to South Stand and it cost me £460

Back in 2003/04? It seems they've only been going up around 10% in recent years then.

Ye me and my dad moved for that simple reason mate bottom level is about £150 cheaper and still is. Be harder to move around now like :(

To be honest, moomba, kiam has a point. Life is about ups and downs, and sometimes you have to wait or make sacrifices for things. I had to wait 30 years to get my first season ticket because I made sure the priorities like mortgage and pension payments came first. I just attended as many games as I could afford. Hopefully I'll have a nice long latter end of my life supporting a winning team and travelling the world following the England cricket team. Or I might end up under a bus tomorrow and regret my choice. Other people live for today and might find it harder later. You takes your choices ...

City are pretty fair with season ticket prices, in my opinion, in comparison to other top teams in England.

No he doesnt have a point at all. For many people it's not just a matter of saving a bit extra. It's such a ridiculous and naive view of life. And if we want to remain a club for the people, for our supporters I don't think we can carry on increasing prices year after year as we have been doing.

The club doesn't care about the supporters or people. What it wants is a full stadium with people paying the maximum amount of money possible. If they can get 50,000 people in who would each pay £10,000 a year for a ticket then that is what they would do.

The prices will continue to go up around 10% until the demand for season tickets drop.[/quote]

Partially True. The 10% increase will happen until there is a 10% drop of in revenue from renewals and sales. At that point the stone has been bled dry!

I was proud to be a season ticket holder, jacked it last year though. The club understands zilch about Generation Rent which is why you're neighbours at the ground are probably either middle aged, pensioners, or working but still live with their parents*. Think what that does for atmosphere and the numbers leaving early, it can't help. I'd love to see a study of ST demographics, I suspect it'd illustrate my point.

* edit. Or tourists.

Just been down and renewed. 480 for block 134 gold rather than platinum, spread over the 4 payments. I can't grumble really it's not bad value for money at £25 a game but feel for the fans who are paying through the nose in other areas of the ground.

Hi. My question's not entirely on the same topic, but is linked. I joined the stadium expansion season card waiting list earlier this season. I'm about 1,300ish on the list. At the time the info I received said that season cards may become available earlier than 2015/16. Does anyone know the likelihood of this being the case? Guess I've been added to the already existing waiting list (how many on that?). Any information would be greatly appreciated. I'd buy one right now if they were available!

Every year I try to renew online and every year its a ballache!!

Select ticket - platinum done
add cup schemes - individually 3 times having to enter bank details on each scheme

Then on the final uefa scheme im politely told that 'this member does not qualify for the schemes' and kicked out of the sysyem.

Modern technology you cant beat it!!!

There is perhaps a point in there somewhere but for Kiam to assert that most people moaning get pissed every Friday, smoke and eat pies for lunch (presumably he thinks they should eat gruel) is ridiculous. I doubt he knows very much about what most people on here do or don't do and why they might plead poverty. He is just being a judgemental dick.

Why am I being judgemental?

£11 a week is affordable to the majority the problem is people don't want to put away long term to save for things they want everything today hence why we see places like Wonga loans.

Plan over the 12 month period - season tickets seem to come as shock to most on here and they scramble around to get the funds together but why when they know the season is coming again in May!?

Plan ahead resist that dominoes pizza or that stroll around Asda filling your trolley with unneeded snacks and your season ticket will be paid for.

If you're offended by what I've said then it's probably because you fit into the category of what I'm describing above.

You are being judgemental. Look at the makeup of our match day crowds now. You've got lads that clearly still live at home alongside an older generation who've probably paid the mortgage and have a good income. When young families in deprived areas struggle to find money for food then £11 a week isn't affordable.

I've no dependents and I've got a reasonable job. I'm still doing sums to get £600 together. Fuck knows how a guy with three kids manages it.
