Season ticket payments - refunds/credits due by June 19th

I just hope one of the options isnt that if you ask for a refund for this season then you lose your ST for next season. Personally I’d like the refund as it would be nearly £600 for 4 tickets.

Doubt that will be an option for the club as filling the ground will be harder than ever once this is all over. I’d think every club will suffer a drop off on gates for a good while for one reason or another.

I just don't understand who in there right mind would pay for a behind closed doors season ticket, I couldn't think of anything worse.

Soulless behind closed doors with football players celebrating to empty seats.

I'll 100% go back to Etihad and all the away games I can get to but never will I pay money to watch behind closed doors football.

You and me both. I’d sooner watch paint dry than a behind closed doors game on the box. Ok, probably an exaggeration but I’m fucked if I’m bothering with any of that shit, and I’m guessing most true football fans feel exactly the same.

IMHO the best way forward is.....

Refund 6/19 to current season ticket holders.

No season tickets for 2020/21 season. Any matches that can be staged to be ticketed as one off events. This allows an appropriate (and possibly increasing) attendance.

All 2019/20 season ticket holders to be invited to purchase 2021/22 Season tickets if by then it is possible. If still not possible then continue to ticket as one off events.

At £63 home to Norwich in the cheap seats the club would have to review their pricing policy. A lot of ST holders won't pay £10 for a cup game.

Lots of people on her say they won’t renew regardless. Good luck to them. I go to City because I enjoy going. If I can still afford to go next season or whenever football returns I will do.

It’s probably about time that many Blues who have lost interest in going to the match hang up their season cards and make space for others to take their place. That might mean our crowds go down for a few years but that may well be the reality of Premier League football after this pandemic.
Ohhhh I'm not complaining it is what it is, I'm sure if no one renewed their season tickets the club would work out a plan to fill the ground, obviously its much easier with 35k in season ticket holders! I think you are right about crowds across the board likely going down, the irony of that being the Premier League is much better able to handle that than say a National League team that is scraping for cash to start with....

i am in the extremely vulnerable bracket. the risk is huge.

would it stop me before VAR? not a fucking chance.
Covid 19 will cause temporary fear and may stop some people from going but overall it’s VAR that will kill going to the match for me. After the two Spurs game and celebration of the goals allowed in the stadium to then be embarrassed by them ruled out via a remote studio is what is unforgivable.

i wasnt embarrassed i was plain angry. they can freeze frame that camera angle wherever they like.

a virtual season ticket would be ridiculous

football being one of the first sports coming back and then you tell the general public they have to pay for it..... preventing millions of people from watching it.

One of the main reasons for trying to get it back was to boost the countries morale. Waste of time if most people couldn’t watch it

Do you really believe this was a genuine ambition of the EPL and Sky? I don't!

Ok it’s clear as day supporters are not going back into the stadiums to watch football regardless of the season continuing.

have the club emailed anything about refunds etc ? I have had zero communication from them which if I’m being honest is pissing me off.

City and any other PL club for that matter can do absolutely nothing until Sky/BT/EPL and probably the Government decide what direction football is to go. Simples!

yeh I get that. It just feels like I’m getting no communication from the club. No way any supporter going back into the stadium, so at least I thought they could start opening channels up such as what would fans like. Ie payment carried onto next season or refunds etc

it’s like everybody is waiting for somebody to make a decision :-)
