Season Ticket Pricing as a result of Stadium Expansion

Word of warning.

If City keep on playing like they did at West Ham last night, and keep on signing the type of players who played at West Ham last night, new season tickets and match day tickets regardless of price will continue to sell out.

People and businesses *will pay* good money to watch those kind of performances and players, regardless.

Like all things they always go up every season, hopefully after the expansions are completed they won't go up as much as they have recently. Since we moved into the stadium my season ticket has more than doubled in price hopefully next season they will keep the price increase to the rate of inflation, and not by x 3or x4 the rate of inflation.

But we as fans have been paying well under the PL average for match ticket and season ticket prices since Sheikh Mansour bought the club. At some point, whether we like it or not, there has to be, and it's happening, a period of catch up with the likes of United, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, etc, regarding match day and season ticket prices. Hopefully it won't go too far?

Not really interested in London prices, but are our prices really a lot lower than Liverpool and united?

Good point jrb. The football was fantastic. It wi still help to seek out an expanded 60k ground though if prices are realistic to what people can afford.

A full 6Ok ground will be amazing and one day I hope to sit in a 70 to 80k Etihad, ideally in the David Silva stand.

On the subject of away fans. Will their allocation be sold bottom tier up or third tier down? Makes a difference as to the price of tickets left available to City fans if the full allocation isn't taken up.

And by the same token if the football stops being as good the people will leave and it will be back to the core support that is there no matter what.

It's a fine balancing act!

That's true.

But as a club we can now attract and buy the best players in the World if they become available. The stadium expansion, increased revenue. new training complex, etc will cement that.

I can't see us ever going in any other direction but forward, on and off the pitch in the future.

Good point.

I am not sure how they will price the upper tier for away fans on a match by match basis. Seems a bit unfair to charge a Chelsea fan £52 when a bloke sat a few rows from him in the city end has paid £299 for 19 matches.
