Out of interest Mr blueparrot where in the ground do you sit ?

I'm a Blue member, I've been here , there and everywhere.
My problem is when you have been sat with people who have become friends over ten years at Etihad and some prior to that at Maine rd it's quite hard to take a move away from this especially when being forced into it for some suit who couldn't give a toss about city. I've been home and away for many seasons and my son with me now but for me the straw has been put on the donkeys back.

Sorry to hear that, the club have said they will do their best to keep friends together. We can only take them at their word on that at the moment but there is no going back. Personally I have trust in the owners, to keep the fans onside and think if we are going to progress in the direction we are going then there are a lot worse people that could be in charge I beleive they do have respect for our history and background.
The same way Barcelona respect their history but still have a big commercial and corporate arm

If you move to the south stand am I right in assuming you won't be looking at the £299 tickets and therefore not competing with people on the waiting list for the new cheap tickets. Also why would you go straight for the South without looking at maybe 101 or 301 ?

I will tell you why I will.....Cost.

I currently pay £750 and if I am very tempted with the £299 tickets. I tend to miss 2/3 games a season for one reason or another, never sell my ticket and at £750 a pop its starting to get quite expensive if I only go to 16 games.

I may yet go for one of the more expensive tickets but will almost certainly choose that stand. I was high up at Wembley and it really didnt spoil my day.

I think there will be plenty of takers of the £299 from exisitng ST holders.

I appreciate that and fair enough but couldn't you have moved higher up and saved money at any time not a £299 ticket but a £450 - £500 ticket would still be a saving.

I could have done but the choice is now being taken out of my hands and for me that's the difference. I would probably have moved anyway as the price was at my limit. A 50% increase has forced the issue.

I've tried level 1 and don't really like it. Too low. I've done level 3 and that's not too bad even at the back so my thinking is I may just save money while the issue is being forced. However if I can get first 4/5 rows I may pay the extra. Have to wait and see....

What I wouldn't be keen on is paying £499 for say row 17 knowing that someone 3 rows behind is paying £299.

it seems to me that some people are looking for a way out,
(its normal and its been this way for over a 100 years, otherwise football stadiums would be full of o .a p,s)I get it ,there are many reasons ,what I don't get ,is why some people have to take a stick to the club,
why?
just bow out ,gracefully, the club is maybe the best in the world,in terms of balancing, world class talent on the pitch ,with fans needs off it,
so your time has come.to sack it.cut out the moaning and excuses, your poison, mind set is infectious,by the whey ,I have never had money ,I save£10 a week every week just for my season ticket(500 quid)

Ped

You are correct in realising that the make up of any football crowd is constantly evolving with new replacing old. This is however nothing to do with that natural phenomena; this is more about the revolution and social cleansing that is seeing wealthy replacing the not so wealthy at a frightening and unsustainable rate!

You just don't get it do you son? No - you simply don't understand...

Of the CB2 / East 2 customers, how many are really going to pay £1150 (60% more) to keep their same seat, for a "club" facility that's only of value if you come early and stay after the match? I can imagine several thousand being first in the queue for a move (and annoyed to have to move behind the goal rather than be at the side of the pitch).

Through (recent ) good times and bad times I've supported the club from the Kippax, surrounded by people who have been through the same shared experience, as Colins Bellsend put it: "My problem is when you have been sat with people who have become friends over ten years at Etihad and some prior to that at Maine rd it's quite hard to take a move away from this especially when being forced into it for some suit who couldn't give a toss about city". Like most loyal supporters that feel that £1150 is too much, I will move elsewhere, possibly South stand. Like everything these days you get nothing for loyalty, I don't feel happy about this. Surely you can understand this.

Being in the firing line in 201, whilst I know I will be able to stand an increase from £775 to £1150 (if I can pay in installments) I'm pretty certain that a large number of the gang I sit with (about 25, all from the same SC Branch) won't - so I suspect we're probably all going to move to the south stand...

If you move to the south stand am I right in assuming you won't be looking at the £299 tickets and therefore not competing with people on the waiting list for the new cheap tickets. Also why would you go straight for the South without looking at maybe 101 or 301 ?
Probably not - I would say I've not had a chance to talk to anybody yet about what our strategy is likely to be - the view is never going to be as good from anywhere in the South stand to be honest. Suspect this will run and run for a long time yet...

What a master stroke by the club.
First they send a survey asking if we would sell our seats to people who want to buy it for life.
I for one stated I did not want to sell my seat for any inducement.
So they put up the prices to £1150 and then want a £100 deposit if I don't want my seat and want to relocate to the new stand.
I really like the seat I have now and really don't want to move, but £1150 is way beyond my means and I'm not bothered for a Sports bar.
It's a sad indictment of success that after all the years I've had my season card, I've to give it up for the JCLs.

Can such an increase be justified, just because they'll have a Sports bar. I just go to the game and then home, if I go for a beer I usually go to town or Mary Ds.
