Season Tickets - 2023/24

TBF you can select a game to skip and resell your seat. Obviously not ideal but it’s one solution if things are a bit tight.

Or sell it for a huge game on one of those sites and pay for half his season ticket??

Thank you BMR, respect to you and what you have done to promoting City, I think you know I'm a commie but the reality is, it's not allowed to work like that, for me it would be back to 2/6d at the old turnstiles but reality is, the country run by a bunch of capitalist gangsters, it is they that have increased prices, sadly City have had to pass them on to the customer, through no fault of their own.
A Communist? Seriously?

I'm not going to fall out with anyone (will be my one and only comment), but ignoring the football we watch for a minute, I think the rise is pretty reasonable, and the biggest reason for that, is that City are a business.

Businesses (and individuals, as many are pointing out) are having to take on often huge price increases, so why should City (just like Tesco, or your local pub/restaurant) not pass it on the same ?

We all know that the costs of running any business over the last 12 months has gone up a lot more than the 5% (ish) City are asking. I would imagine that costs of contractors (staff and supplies) has gone up very significantly, not to mention energy price rises for both the club, and it's contractors.

What about the last 10 seasons?

The global price increases have only been evident in the last 12 months.

Manchester City Football Club has today released its Annual Report for the 2021/22 season, announcing the highest-ever revenues and profits in the Club’s history. The Club has reported record revenues of £613 million and record profits of £41.7 million, the latter being more than double the previous Club record.

Several factors contributed to the Club’s record-breaking financial results and continued profitability, including fans returning to the Etihad Stadium and the increase of the Clubs’ wider commercial revenues.

Profits were also boosted by significant player trading. The £67.7 million profit City generated from the transfer of players’ registrations took the total above £250 million over the last five years and this will grow even further in 2022/23 following the club’s unprecedented transfer business in the 2022 summer window.

Yeah I know, I will be fine, it just seems a huge hike and every season its going up, was maybe just hoping for a freeze this year with the way things are

35 quid more in the cheap seats, ffs I've got a decision to make now

You simply have to re-new mate. I know times are hard but worst comes to worst you can easily ticket transfer your seats at cost price or use the exchange. It works out at what £20 a game? Once you've let it go you'll be priced out forever. You struggle to get undesirable cup games at £20 now and it's only getting worse. Fuck knows what the matchday league prices will be next season? Probably start at £75-£90!!! If it's anything like this season they'll increase prices during it too.

The sad truth of the matter is they know people will continue to pay it. We know Soriano couldn’t really give two shits about the fans and their finances in the current climate.
People can be annoyed by the rises or not, I understand both sides and have my own views. However it's easy for those that are complaining though to use Soriano as the bogeyman, truth is if his bosses didn’t want the rises then they wouldn’t happen. So for those complaining about the rise at least be hosest and blame those from the top including Khaldoon.

Am I right in thinking there is now no option for anybody to have a season ticket for every league game unless they are lucky enough to already have one?, any that come to market now will only be silver and anyone that buys them will also have to pay for a full price ticket for 5 other games not included at whatever price point the club pick at the time?
That is precisely the business model they are pursuing, but they won't be honest and admit it.
