Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

Is correct.

That aside, anyone can lie to the club about their personal circumstances.Or are the club going to ask for a doctors report, or some proof that a person is ill, working on the day of the match, etc? Where and when does this stop?
The Club would have to veer on the lenient side.

As I have said to Moomba, underpinning my views is my opinion they no shows are bad for the atmosphere and season card hoarding has made it harder for families of Blues to get regular tickets together.

Yes I’ve thrown in the odd mention of loyalty points queue jumping but they was tongue in cheek.

Bring on Everton. Hopefully, we can do the business. BTW just watched Leeds away at Oxford and Oxford outsang them for 75 minutes.

It's dangerous this. You've no way of knowing this and as the policy is new, you certainly don't know that they'll treat it the same as the 14 game policy. Don't speak like an authority on it

Also, you've been telling us all year how duplicitous Danny Wilson is, now you believe his every word??
Yes I don’t like Danny Wilson but I do my think he’s a bad guy who would be forcing pensioners to return season cards.

City have been running similar policies in recent years and it’s been very light touch. There’s no reason why that would change.

Anyway, I’m not bothered about Blues jumping the ticket loyalty queue by attending few home games. That was tongue in cheek.

Are there that many people who buy a season ticket yet intend to go to 9 games or less?

It isn't the intention for anyone's circumstances to change or worsen but it CAN happen to anyone, even those who are enjoying being the City chest thumpers on here tonight. It's a wanky move by the Club.

I’ve heard Danny Wilson explain the process Ciry go through and it’s very supportive. They don’t take anyone’s season card without giving the Blues a proper chance to explain their difficulties. In fact they hardly ever take anyone’s season card for non attendance.

Historically this is the case, they keep doing weird shit every season so who knows if that will change?

OK Moomba. You know a few swear words.

My view is that no shows worsen the atmosphere and season card hoarding restricts the chances of families who want to attend, getting regular tickets together. The scale of ticket listings encourages the level of tourists some posters vehemently dislike.

You disagree. No worries. Everyone has their view.

I don’t agree with the timing of the new rule. We need to be filling a 60k plus ground.
I think we need to separate the no shows argument from the "season card hoarding".

Don't have a problem with managing noshows, for me there's no reason why you shouldn't go to a game, pass it on to someone else or list it on the exchange. I don't think too many have an issue with that.

If you're still talking about season card hoarding after reading about the many legitimate reasons why people might not make every game then you're right, well never agree.

You think that people falling foul of the rule can just go begging to the club to keep their season ticket. And that's fine. The thought of people having to do that, to justify their loyalty disgusts me and I can guarantee you after having a season ticket for the vast majority of the past 25 years that if I'm asked to justify why I should keep my season ticket that the club will never hear from me again.

And there you go, not one swear word.

This is the the most pertinent point for me, if I'm off sick at Work, the Company who pay me to be there 37 hours a Week don't even question my reasoning, they have no right to, I'm off sick. Why the hell should Fans who have paid for access to watch 19 games of Football have to disclose why they haven't been able to attend a game at late notice? It's absolute nonsense from the Club yet again.

What am I missing here? If you can't make 10 games, you don't need a season ticket. Get a flexi gold and have first dibs on the games you can make/want to attend.

Leave the season tickets to those who will go to more than 10 games.

Wouldn’t be much point in doing that if the current criteria for a Flexi stays the same.

That’s also 10 games minimum.

I don’t think anybody has an issue with the club sanctioning people who have season tickets that largely aren’t being used. It’s selfish and detrimental. As such I can understand the policy of season tickets having to be used for a certain amount of games per season. It’s not unreasonable.

The problems are a) people having to attend ten games in person themselves when, as already outlined, this isn’t always practical and b) the club deliberately making it more difficult to transfer your tickets when you can’t attend yourself.

All that should matter is the seat being filled. There should be no confusion or misunderstanding about this though. The club are deliberately implementing these measures to force season ticket holders out to try and squeeze out every last drop of matchday revenue. This is a very short-sighted policy that will bite them on the arse when things aren’t so good on the pitch.

Tim.

You can’t legislate for no shows. There are a million reasons why people don’t go to the games. It impossible to define why there are so many no shows, and for what reasons.

Regardless of the no shows, families can’t attend PL matches. They are priced out by the directors. And even if the parents could afford the ticket prices, the directors don’t make family tickets available and togther for PL matches.

Instead of syphoning tickets off to the 9 official ticket touting partners, why don’t the directors make some or all of those (discounted) tickets available for families?

Why?

Because the directors don’t care. And because they are constantly chasing increased match day revenues at the detriment of the fans.

At least you're not paying for games you won't attend.
Have you seen match ticket prices? It’s probably more expensive to go to, say, 9 games in sections of the stadium than buy a season ticket. That’s part of the problem.

Plain and simple. (which the directors think the fans are)

The directors want as many season tickets turned into match day tickets as
Possible. And the directors will keep on finding ways to do that.

Why don’t the club start them £299 season tickets for under 25’s imagine how good the north stand could be.
Pretty sure the scruffy lot have some sort of young person season ticket as they have realised they need a core of younger fans going forward… hate to compare to them it’s about the only ticketing policy they seem to have got right

No offence to anyone, but can people stop posting the club. It isn’t the club, It’s the directors. The directors make the decisions. The people who work for the club have to implement those decisions. Blame the directors, not the club, and not the people who work for the club.
