Seasoncard - 2021/22

I’m not really and android person, but everything from Iphone 6 has had nfc on there.

That’s 7 years.
I have a work iPhone so I can use that. You do realise that iPhones have never been cheap I assume? Lots of people don’t want to spend £500 plus on a phone (me included when I retire next year and buy a personal Android phone).

No nothing yet but TBH I didn't think we would with us going digital.

How do you know its from City?

Its says "We're received your parcel from Manchester city and delivery is due 30th July between times X and X"

Im clued into fake mails and this seems correct with the tracking number and email all valid on RM site.

It will be the seasoncard pack :)

How would Royal Mail get your email address? Are you sure it isn’t that scam that’s going round where they tell you that in an email then say it will cost £X for them to deliver. And why Chester sorting office?

I presume off city - some packages i receive use text and email to share notifications.

The Email from RM legit - no-reply@royalmail.com and valid tracking number.

Prob chester before it reaches Belfast.

I think this could be a competition win if noone else has received a mail?

You would have been contacted by somone in Marketing if you had won a comp.

It' will be the seasoncard pack minus the actual seasoncard :)

Oh that would be fantastic for you. I hope it is. Well done. Great stuff. :-)

Sorry about the pessimism but I had one of this spam/scam emails and it purported to be from Chester sorting office! I ignored it because I knew of others.

It’s a ticket to get into the ground, why should anyone be consulted? Did airlines consult their passengers before introducing it? Pretty sure the same people were moaning when we moved away from the paper books, move with the times ffs.
You are right and I have changed my mobile phone to one that can cope. I hope it all goes smoothly but it certainly didn't for the 10K at the Everton game, whatever the Club are peddling.

anyones guess! ill know friday! Im presuming everyone else on this thread is a ST Holder to but havent got an email...plus never been tracking on ST Packs in years gone by?
Its hit and miss. I think it depends on the info City send them and also relying on Trackpack uploading to RM as well. I usually receive one but my partner doesn't and usually just drops though the letterbox

I was looking at budget android phones and there's plenty released in the last couple of years that don't have NFC enabled. Cheapest I've found so far that has it is £120

no but 95% of adults will have.
Smartphone penetration in this country is very high (over 95%) for age groups up to 54. In the age group 55-64 it's 87% and in the over 65 group it's 65%.

Let's assume that our seasoncard holders are split 40/40/20 across the 3 groups. That means over 5,000 aren't equipped for mobile ticketing.

As posted before, a lot of those phones aren’t NFC enabled so the proportion of supporters that can use mobile ticketing is actually lower.
