Seasoncards to be sent out. Paper tkts possible for Watford

One summer, in the foreseeable future, we'll get round to actually getting season tickets out in time for the start of the season. Not sure why it's such a chore to be honest though. Would have thought that 90% of season ticket holders renew for the same seats. Surely reprint all season tickets at the end of the season. Immediately send those that confirm the same seats, change those that are moving on their systems and send those, chuck away the ones that have cancelled, and then print any new seasoncard holders.

Or is this what actually happens? I'm no expert, but this seems the most logical way of doing things. Would have thought that the only thing slowing this down is the other tat they include in the packs every year. Pretty sure one year they were delayed because they ran out of shoelaces, or wristbands or something!

I'm in the same boat as you, no seasoncard and no paper ticket as of yet. I haven't complained, i was also in that queue outside maine road for 99 final tickets, i was about 11 and camped out overnight with my dad to ensure we got tickets but the queueing for that is no comparison to this situation. It's entirely reasonable to expect to have a ticket in some form 2 days before the game when you've paid for it 3 months beforehand. I've made plans to go out early doors on Sunday as i'm sure many others have, that's now all going to fall to pieces if i'm forced to go to the ticket office probably a few hours before the game and queue for a ticket i should of received weeks ago. It's not the end of the world by any means but it's a massive inconvenience we're all going to have to endure through no fault of our own. People have every right to be pissed off at that. Just because we're all fans of the club it doesn't mean the club shouldn't be criticised when it's deserved, we'd be Liverpool fans if that were the case. Sadly, in this instance the criticism is most definitely deserved. With a good number not receiving cards or replacements, others receiving duplicate cards and the very unfortunate few being told days before the first game that their seat that they've paid for 3 months ago doesn't actually exist, it's undeniably been a complete shambles all around.
The Gillingham game at Wembley in 99 was the 1 where some genius decided to allow anyone with a season ticket to queue for tickets from the first day of sale,it was basically 1 big free for all, whoever made that decision makes you wonder what kind of experience they previously had, that same weekend Bolton were at Wembley for their play off game...all their tickets were sold online, its always been poorly managed,up until the Stoke game in 2011 they were allowing people to queue overnight,it was like the Internet had just been invented, this chaos will continue every summer until professionals are appointed

Sorry but people are entitled to be unhappy and to complain over not having a ticket they bought and paid for 3 months ago. If you ordered something from someone other than City you'd be shouting from the rooftops. I'm no fan or the Evening News and I wouldn't go running to them but people are more than entitled to complain about the club not sorting this out. My card still hasn't arrived and to be sure of a paper ticket I made a 200 mile round trip yesterday using the EDS game as an excuse to convince the missus (She's got her card!) it was the right thing to do.

My mate received his this morning and i received an email saying it's to be delivered today. Hopefully everybody else will be getting theirs today too.

Nobody doubts people have a right to complain.

It is usual custom and courtesy though to complain to the people you are dealing with ie the club not run squealing to the press.

Why not give the supplier of the goods (in this case City and cards) the opportunity to sort the matter out

It's this "You can't complain 'cos it's City" crap I can't accept. I don't agree with running to newspapers over it but complain? Too right you should. The situation is a joke.

A lot of people did and either got the line "it got posted yesterday"numerous times or couldn't get through at all after spending an eternity on hold. It's not something i'd do but i can understand why those few did go to the papers they just wanted their voice heard when it appeared City were ignoring them.

I sat here at home laughing my head off.

Last night I said the bloke going to MUEN was soft.

Today my season card arrived. New seat in the new stand, an aisle seat. When I relocated I moved my son also but we could not get to together. He was one seat away on the same row.

His card did not arrive today so I went to the club and collected a paper ticket for him. All good. Received a call from the club which I missed. A message was left to ring Gavin. I did and got through eventually but Gavin was not available. The lad I spoke to simply asked if I had my tickets and was I happy. Courtesy call I thought and we left it at that.

Two hours later a lady rings and tells me my new aisle seat does not exist now and that I have to move. When I told her I have my son a seat away and both of us would need relocating she seemed surprised.

They have moved us to block 227 tomorrow which look like the best seats so all good there but now we have to discuss a new move for the rest of the season. She asked me a few questions about where I would not go and like to go which to be honest I not 100% sure what to do. I told her for now to not look in tier 1 unless in last 10 rows and that I would not go any higher in tier 3 then what I thought was my new seat.

She said wherever we are put it will not cost me anymore money and if seats are cheaper I would get a refund. Cannot see that as I moved to a £380 seat and all £299 are sold I believe.

The issue for me could be next season. If they move us to say a dear seat next year I will need to relocate as I won't pay and cannot pay the big prices.

The lady I spoke to has been really helpful. I do not have to queue up tomorrow for my tickets as she will arrange someone to meet me at the turnstile at I going in. She gave me her number and was very apologetic.

Eventful.

Just took my season ticket out its box for today, bent and the side with my picture on its all coming away. Looks like they didn't spend much on the cards lol

Paper ticket for today . and given the option to re-locate along with a group of mates for the rest of the season, the only doubt I have is going forward to next season what happens then if we relocate to Colin Bell stand will the price jump up making it to exspensive for some of the group. City and the Ticket office are trying hard to sort the mess that they have created. But I still think being told Just four days before the first home game and well over a week after the season has kicked off that seats don't exist is terrible customer service regardless of if it's City or not. Anyway rant over for now off to the pub to meet up with the lads and going to enjoy the game .
