That changed a few years ago.Can tickets now get sold on the day of the game? They couldn't historically.
Been like that for a good few years now for European matches. I think the club still makes the decision not to on the odd occasion depending on the opposition. For example, if we were playing someone like Celtic or Rangers tonight then I doubt they would be selling tickets on the day of the game if any remainedCan tickets now get sold on the day of the game? The three central blocks on the upper tier east and west vanished off sale this morning so there might actually be more available.1232 left for Dortmund - 350 ish sold since 9 am. Looking like we will be less than 500 short of selling out come kick off.
I don't think there were too many left in those central blocks prior to that so my guess is that those blocks could've sold out. Not sure it would make sense to take a few dozen or so seats off sale when there are hundreds left in some of the outer blocks. Then again, this is City so anything's possible! The three central blocks on the upper tier east and west vanished off sale this morning so there might actually be more available.

Sometimes I wonder if they take a few seats off online sales if there is anticipated that there is going to be a queue at the ticket office. It would be harsh to say to someone who's been stood outside for an hour that the last ticket's just been sold online. Could be that. I know there weren't many left but they were single seats and I'm not sure that all those 6 blocks would have sold out at once.I don't think there were too many left in those central blocks prior to that so my guess is that those blocks could've sold out. Seats have actually appeared in many blocks albeit in small numbers since i last looked a few hours back, the mind boggles who knows how the ticket office operates, we need a mole who works there to tell us what's what.Sometimes I wonder if they take a few seats off online sales if there is anticipated that there is going to be a queue at the ticket office. Yes it's been standing there in every game way before safe standing was even introduced. I'm in block 110 and can't remember thr last game I've not been stood up for. The safe standing is fixed also.Taking my lad for his first-ever standing game tonight in SS1, he's desperate to experience it.
Please tell me it's safe standing for Champions League games too?
Yep! You can check out the bar behind SS1 as well, I'm quite a big fan.Taking my lad for his first-ever standing game tonight in SS1, he's desperate to experience it.

For a group stage match which most people are getting tedious of, it is a good turnout.Well, sell out or not, it’s another brilliant attendance tonight. 50k+ For a club with no fans :)
About 570 left think nearly a sell out by kick off !For a group stage match which most people are getting tedious of, it is a good turnout.
