City don’t like to take those risks, unless it’s expensive corporate tickets.Tickets in Salfords away end are on general sale with no purchase history required, no reason why city can't do the same. It's got absolutely nothing to do with trouble at the game, whilst there will be trouble outside, there's not going to be issues regarding away fans buying tickets in the home end. They'll be lucky to sell the away end in the first place.
I'm talking about new fans. Locals who may not have been to a game before. Might be looking to take their child to their first game for cheap. Might not be particularly big blues, but could be swayed. They won't know anyone with a membership, bad attitude to assume that everybody considering going to a game has a membership, or knows someone who has one
Members will make extra tickets available to Blues without membership. Not everyone will be aware of help available but a lot will.
