Seat Counters - 2024/25

You don’t half talk some shit on this thread.

Have you ever thought it may be that fans have just had enough of football clubs and authorities taking the piss constantly squeezing more and more money out of fans, shit KO times and their general apathy towards local fan bases? I have still got my ST’s and have been going 45 years but frankly I’m getting a bit tired of it all. If that means some fans think I have ‘no passion’ then thats fine. Also many people on here are probably struggling financially; yes some tickets are reasonable but they probably can’t afford these regular trips to London when you factor all spending money.

get all that, but i have seen and heard, just can't be bothered, that' shit

The clampdown on the face value pages was always likely to undermine our support at Wembley. There’s no longer the active leadership amongst the fanbase that would put another 5K or 10K on the crowd in the last week of sales.

Seats available on the planner:
  • Level 1 = 2,151
  • Level 2 = 840
  • Level 5 = 2,652
  • Total = 5,643
Blocks not release
  • 527 = 463 (as pointed out by Marvin)
  • 528 = 1,159
  • 529 = 1,112
  • 530 = 1,054
  • 531 = 482 (as pointed out by fathelensbellend)
  • Total = 4,270
Allocation is 36,190 less 9,913 so sales are 26,277.

Sold 262 tickets since my last count yesterday.

i have noticed that, it doesn't seem anywhere near as pro active, i think the biggest suprise is the lack of take up from the new generation. City need to move away from expensive membership schemes and make tickets more available, there are kids wearing City shirts up and down the country and yet cannot get near a game, it's plain daft

Lower semi final crowds are the only way it will ever get moved.

Normally for our semis it isn't much over 70k, as there is little take-up from hospitality, football family, as well as the clibs not always selling their allocations. If it ends up closer to 60k they will need to think about it.

They are still paying for the under budgeted heap, they have to rip off as many football fans as they can.

100% mate.

Semi finals shouldn't have been turned into mini finals, games should have been played either in a ground closer to both sides or just a normal draw with one team with a home advantage.

Many fans and tourists alike are keeping their powder dry for a possible final where they get the tickets and the placeholders at the semi final can't get or can't afford off rip off sites.

Spot on mate. A load of Blues would have had help from fellow fans (in past years) overcoming the membership requirements. A lot of the newer generation were benefitting from this.

In addition. the people using the face value pages were / are better at both maintaining a dislike for our Directors and getting behind the lads on the pitch:

The thing Wembley National Stadium LTD takes on more debt each year, it will never be paid off unless they sell it.

You can say it as many times as you like, lol,I will still disagree, it's apathy...140k+matchday members and we are struggling to get to 28kbsales EMBARRASSING
I agree with this, I know at least 10 from our supporters club who are season ticket holders, who just can't be bothered, but if we get to the final, will definitely go to the final. I totally understand fans with kids not being able to afford to go, but the people I'm on about don't fall into that category and it seems there are plenty of others who feel the same.

The club have got it wrong, we also have 20 further years of people purchasing tickets at The Etihad, why are we not engaging those people to buy tickets

Well people have their reasons and I'm not going to criticise anyone for not going, our support overseas and with kids here has increased massively but our support and particularly those who attend is actually less than it was pre-c0vid, the capacity was reduced by 1000 or so and there were a lot less non sell outs back then. Out support generally is STILL GM based, there are blues scattered about the country granted but I'd argue our reach is less than comparable clubs such as Everton, Newcastle, Villa etc, Everton have swathes of fans in North Wales and probably have more support in places like St Helen's, Warrington etc than us which are more or less half way between the two cities, Newcastle have fans up to the Scottish Borders , down into Durham and out west past Hexham, Villa have plenty of fans outside Birmingham who go on places like Staffordshire, Worcestershire and even on the edge of Gloucestershire. The 10 year olds in the Aquero era would be 23 now but the club decided that some overseas fan who might come once a season are more important than local support, a lot of this is down to the club solely. Our support in the UK has not expanded to the levels you would expect with the huge success, my belief and it might be crap is that 115 and the bile from the media hasn't helpedTha matters. That stand should have been built 5 or 6 years ago when we were at our peak, they should have been working their nuts off to bring back lapsed fans and getting every kid under 12 to actively support their club, that horse has now bolted and if we don't get back to those levels of success having a 61000 plus capacity might prove to be complete folly.
Thanks for the interesting comment.

This has been covered elsewhere but we know for a fact that City's non-seasoncard support has surged and there is an old but quality dataset that suggests that the majority of City's seasoncard holders live outside Greater ManChester. We also know from the club that 50% of seasoncard holders do not on average go to the midweek CL games.

I believe that City's support has surged locally, nationally and internationally since the takeover and that we see these fans at games. Ironically, I think on a CL night, the crowd is dominated by locals from what is now a very cosmopolitan Manchester.

We are living in a period when football is extremely popular and in one where prices have never been higher so football crowds are changing. It is confusing but at the same time interesting. When I first started supporting City in the 1970s, football was almost all white now it has totally changed and City fans represent the community in which the club is based. This is social progress. That doesn't mean that there aren't problems between the club and fanbase. We know there are.

You commented that City that City are encouraging overseas fan at the expense of local fans. I disagree with that and think that we have seen a big increase in both occasional visiting City fans from abroad and local fans.

Why the fuck are a bunch of soft arses posting on a website how embarrassing it is that we can't sell our full allocation what the fuck is wrong with your life if you are embarrassed by what's let's face it other fans think?

Grow up, if you want to go and be the biggest fan ever to follow City then dip your bread but stop carrying on like hysterical fannies.

The Japanese fans speaking Japanese with 0.5m Yen coats they don't sell in this country, and often the odd MU superstore carrier bag.

Local not tourists?

Pretty much exactly what I was going to post. Maybe without Fannies LOL.
Am guessing they have forgotten our times at maine road.
Our consistent fan Base is 30,000 always as been. My grandson, son and myself will be attending every game City play at Wembley ( if health allows us )
If we sell 20,000 I won't be embarrassed.
If we lose a derby at Wembley I will be frustrated but not embarrassed.
Just being at Wembley is most clubs dream. Enjoy the occasion don't give a F-ck what keyboard warriors type.
