Seat Counters - 2024/25

Don't anyone be fooled that these are season tickets on the Exchange. They are returns of blocks of seats from the touting sites, who City give the seats to, but who couldn't sell for this one.
Livefootball Tickets had 2,500 seats listed for the Manchester Derby on December 15th. They are the same blocks of seats, and they will be full of United fans, guaranteed. I've sat there, it's a morgue, mostly disinterested observers, or opposition fans.
That's the way it is, huge chunks of seats released to tout sites, and all home games for the rest of the year looking "sold out" on teh official site, so people have to buy from touts. Bastards.
(Also charging £50 at home to Forest on a Wednesday night is just stupid.)
Yeah, I agree. Obviously some City fans have listed their tickets on the exchange but looking at availability for Forest there are big chunks of seats together in some blocks so those are definitely not season tickets put back on the exchange.

Hilariously you can buy two tickets on the tout sites for Forest for £27 each, plus their scalper's fee, so £70 in total, in block 322. City are charging £106 for 2 tickets in the same block. The mind boggles.
Looks like they're giving tickets to the touts very heavily discounted, but charging fans the full whack on the offical site.
A reckoning is coming for the club's ticketing tactics...and that's not bad thing.

The club should put additional rules in the contract with ticket websites that if your want xxxx amounts of tickets for Arsenal/Liverpool/United, you also need to sell xxxx amount of tickets for the lesser games (Forest for example)
If the club helps you, you have to help the club!
Make them work a bit harder if they want creme de la creme

They shouldn't be getting any tickets for away games in the first place.
I'm glad to see many off you are catching on at last that, the problem isn't with the loyalty point holders or the supporters clubs, it is with Manchester City Football.
They are the ones shafting us.
If you want to grow the brand grow it at home games.

My response was about home games my friend

Website won't let me but an additional ticket even though it says season ticket holders can buy up to 3 , just keeps saying I have too many tickets allocated to me, called the club and there is no one available, so can't actually buy one even though I want to.

Blues can just go on the Face Value ticket pages and get tickets sold by fellow Blues for less than the Club charges. Thousands of tickets are resold via this route for most games and particularly midweek matches.

Ahhh but Prestwich Blue is adamant that the tickets on Livefootball don’t come from City !!! Hahaha

Absolute bollocks of course. City are balls deep with these touts. Good little business model - outsource the tickets, get huge mark up on ticket revenue, and don’t get heat from supporters for charging silly money cause it’s a mystery ticket agent selling them.

Except there’s a bit of problem when the lack of engagement with supporters and the team turning shit kills demand.

The consequence is thousands of tickets appearing back on the clubs ticket site unsold the week before the game.

Shambles.

For the Forest game? I just checked and it’s letting me buy up to 3 extra. Don’t mean to sound pedantic but are you definitely logged in to your account?

Agree that they definitely do this, but I don't understand how this is legal, as surly that means they're selling away tickets for more than £30?

Why would they be daft enough to do that just for a few extra quid!

That’s all well and good but a lot of blues don’t know about these sites. They log on the website, see the extortionate prices and log back off. There are 3,500 tickets, it will probably be more by the time the game is played, that will get left unsold. For a club of the stature that ours has become, that is farcical. The club have fucked up ticketing royally.

I think heads should roll.

Yes mate, rang the club and they also have no idea why the system won't let me and also can't push it through their side so I am awaiting a call back once they have spoken to the " systems team". I expect the seat I need next to mine will be gone by the time they sort it.

I reckon the crowd could be under 45k. As discussed many times, it will be due to many causes including affordability and transport problems but the media will report it as Blues deserting the sinking ship.

The Away Supporters Initiative isn’t law, it’s an agreement made by clubs to sell at same price. The cap is due to be reviewed next year, I can see it going up to at least £40.

Being honest, if I was on the fence about this one, I would be making the extra effort to get there. They need our backing and Forest are a decent team who’ll fancy their chances given our recent form. Certain fanbases will also be queuing up to say we’re deserting our team as well no doubt, I’m surprised we didn’t hear that after Feyenoord.
