Seat Counters - 2024/25

You can’t blame City for tapping into a new CIty support and revenue stream.

10,000’s of Hong Kongers have moved to Manchester escaping Chinese rule.

Because real estate is so expensive in Hong Kong most of them are pretty wealthy after selling their houses and apartments in Hong Kong.

The Hong Kongers will either support City or United. City, like United, are doing what they can to attract that Hong Konger support and their money.

PS. I work for a retail company. The membership has exploded with Hong Konger members, who are spending a lot of money.

Where were they all when we were shit?

The game wasn't sold out in August

Only the general sale tickets were sold out with thousands held back in the hope if shifting the rest with expensive corporate packages.

If we were top of the league and flying they would have all been sold.

The fickleness of a football fan and a clueless marketing strategy!

Early December when it was clear we were out of form there should have been a fire sale.
People who had already bought horrendously expensive match tickets for Everton could have been offered others at greatly reduced prices to bring someone else, could've worked.

How many people on here have looked, saw the prices and sacked it off?
Me for one. Totally unjustifiable for me. I warned of this previously when this all started and was shouted down by a few. 8 of us, ranging from 10 to 75 all watching from home today. Would have all been there in previous years :(

The club needs to take a long hard look at what it’s doing around ticketing! It might make them more money initially but to the detriment of the long term good of the club

Good, and City supporters are sat at home priced out and alienated

That’s got noting to do with my reply to your question.

Don’t blame new City fans from Hong Kong, blame the club.

Even with or without Hong Konger’s supporting City the club has still been increasing season ticket and match day ticket prices season after season for well over a decade, long before the Hing s moved over here and began supporting City.

We’ve had 1 season ticket prize freeze in that time. Has there been a match day ticket price freeze in that time? I’m asking as I don’t know.

Have to admit, this no transferring thing that people have mentioned really concerns me. Since covid my mate who I go with has been coming less and less, fortunately my youngest daughter (you know, that next generation of fans that used to be so important to clubs) has been coming more and more. It hasn't been a problem though as we've just transferred his season ticket to me on a match by match basis and she's now a proper hard core blue who has had pretty much the entire club shop bought for her for Christmas! He's already said he thinks this will be his last and to see if I I'm effect wants to buy it next season. I'm guessing that won't be worth doing if I can't then transfer it to my daughter.

You could just get him to renew and pay him for it.

I suppose you could even get him to change his bank details and email to that of you or your daughter and do it all yourself.

It would still be in his name but you’d be managing it and paying as if it was yours.

The downside, assuming your daughter is a child, is you’d be paying adult prices.

Wolves ground full.
Forest ground full.
Newcastle ground full.
Liverpool ground full.(to play)
Bournemouth ground full.
Southampton ground, empty seats. Southampton bottom of the table.

Today was the first Boxing Day game I’ve missed at home for many years. The club are taking the piss with the prices and even tho I could have gone I didn’t out of protest of having to pay close to a 100 for myself and a child. I’ve spent many years clearing credit cards watching City long before we was successful but it comes to a point in life when enough is enough. Whoever is in charge at club with the pricing and even the release of tickets at the start of the season etc needs their head shaking.
