Re: robinho wants to be the best in the world

Said the same when he came to us.
I would like to be voted best palyer in the world but it aint going to happen even if I play for Barce.
Neither will Robbie. He is a great player but will never be the "best in the world"
Just not quite that good.

I remain unconvinced that Robinhos heart is really in the City job , and it looks to me like the stuff he's heard 'on the grapevine' about Barcelonas reported interest in him has gone to his head .

I genuinely believe that he feels Hughes has let him down by not acquiring world class names at the club , and isn't really lookin' likely too ..... and i really think that he believes , in his own mind , that he CAN be the best player in the world if he joins a club like Barcelona ..... more so than he ever could be here ....... i'm not so sure that this is just newspaper 'claptrap'.

He seems to spend far too long on the 'sidelines' here to me to really want to help us with our push to be the best , and aside from 'fits and starts' of brilliance at odd times , has simply 'talked a good job'.

The trouble for him , as he found at Real Madrid , is that i suspect that even if he joins Barcelona he'll be far from a first team fixture all the time ....... Like Madrid , they won't put up with his annoying inconsistency , especially away from home ........ they want to win , and win big , and unless Robinho can prove the same they'll soon tire of him.

Just to point out during Robinho's last season when Madrid last won La Liga he started 28 out of their 38 leauge games scoring 11 goals and making 14. They didn't become tired of him, they wanted to use him as bait to get who they thought was a superior player in Ronaldo and Robinho wasn't best pleased about this and wanted out

Robinho was our top goalscorer last season - even though he was not with us from the start of the season, and also created many goals with assists.

Mark Hughes will manage him and only select him to play if his performances justify it.

The only way that he could go to Barca is if Hughes allowed it - unlikely, in my view.

One of our best combinations last year was Ireland and Robinho - we need that again to get some spark.

The media have an agenda to unsettle him and have done so from day one. Robinho, I'm sure would sooner play in Spain than Manchester, sadly for him the teams that can afford him are pretty limited, so this is likely to drag on at least until next season. At that point IF we are in the Champoins League, chances are we won't sell him unless we can find a replacement and if we can it will be someone that would interest the few that might be interested in Robinho too.

Fuck off robinho. Had enough of you pissing us about now. Bell-end.
Thanks for last-season, riddence

Whilst that's true to a point , Ronaldo joined the rags back in 2003 , and Real were always (unnoficially) on his case , almost from the word 'go' , especially after his early exploits ....... Robinho arrived later at Real Madrid in 2005 , and probably averaged a goal every four games there ....... i reckon that Real Madrid were using the Ronaldo story as an excuse to get shut of Robinho , they were not interested in re-newing his contract in his latter years there , constantly trying to put it off ...... they could easily have afforded Ronaldo even WITHOUT the Robinho money because they are seen as an institution that simply can 'be done without' in Spain , such is their prestige there ..... and banks have been instructed by the Spanish government to take the clubs immense 'standing' into consideration , when asking for repayments to be made ....... they have access to what amounts to an almost 'limitless' supply of money basically ...... but Real boss Calderon , for some reason , didn't see eye to eye with Robinho , and Robinho began to feel that Madrid were after gettin' shut of him , one way or the other , he felt unwanted ....... that appeared to be his main problem.

He does divide us doesn't he?

If quotes are true I would imagine Barca have contacted him, even if we don't seem to know about it. His timing could have been better after Hughes quote last week saying he was going nowhere.

This is going to run and run so instead of just getting angry at speculation I'm just gonna ignore it from now on and see what happens.

He's quality on his day but all this talk of wanting to be the best player in the world makes me laugh, unless he means during games when we're at home, winning 2-0 and the sun is out.

Totally agree, he wouldn't get in the Barcelona team.
