I'm a seasoncard holder who has missed only one game since returning from holiday in August
i'm also in the cup scheme and been to all the cc games
however i do believe that the fans that have turned up for the cc games, maybe some of them new to the club should be getting tickets before those that don't go to cup games.
i've heard some say its because they are mid week, but they make it for mid-week league matches, and isn't the semi going to be mid week?
the fans who have been to all the cc games will be embittered if the seasoncard holders take their places.

I agree mate I'm the same as you and remember the excuses on here about missing the Scunthorpe game its funny how they will all be at the rag game.

i for one didn't offer or need an 'excuse' for missing the Scunthorpe game and its not 'funny' its my privelidge for having a season card

Can we get a flag made :)

"We're not really here! And that's our privilege!"

or a picture of your face on your usual seat with the slogan.

"I bought a season ticket just so I didn't have to come tonight"

ps. I'm expecting a C/Card holder that's on the ball will get a ticket but you never know - and I hope were talking about more than one game - there will be other big games in the coming years!

bluenova, i've got a couple of questions:

1. If you go to City so often (it seems pretty clear you do) why not purchase a ST? It saves you money over the season and gives you extra priority to away/cup matches

2. Why not register for the Cup Direct Scheme? If you've been to every home game so far, then you'd have lost nothing being on the scheme (apologies if it isn't open to Citycard holders).

3. As i mentioned, surely long term loyalty means more than short term? Just because a ST holder of, say, 10 years, with 4,200 points didn't make a couple of midweek cup and league matches this season (yet they've paid for thier seat for the Prem games)... they should then be cast aside for a 16 year old, for example, with 100 points on thier card who have happened to attend every home cup match?

1. I can't quite afford it and Tues/Wed/Thurs are much easier times for me to attend. Someone else mentioned this, and also that many ST holders can't attend weekdays.

2. Only for ST holders - I did suggest above that it might be an idea to extend it if that were possible (although not for this season!). I'm not especially worried for myself (although Wembley tickets might be tricky!)

3. Agreed "almost" completely. I will openly admit I'm not as committed a fan as many season ticket holders. What does surprise me is the arrogance I've seen, on many threads, that some show when dismissing non ST holders. I know I joked about one of the comments above but I was a little stunned by the guy who said that not attending games was a privelige of owning a season ticket. I am sure he goes to many more matches than I do, but it just comes across as bizarre. Many of the people going to the C/Cup games won't be regular attendees but for many it will be because they can't afford to go (or to take the kids) so often. It must be more than a little disappointing to find you were just keeping a seat warm for a more loyal fan, while watching unglamorous Fulham and Scunthorpe. I don't expect ALL the kids, and friends of friends to get tickets before ST holders, but I do think it's a point worth thinking about, especially as we'll have more unglamorous seats to fill in the next few years.

All the panic about tickets for this game is silly. It's midweek and live on terrestrial TV . If you have a Citycard, you will get a ticket. It's very likely that some tickets will also go on general sale -as with Chelsea as late as Saturday morning.

If City dont discount the tickets for certain groups, then I doubt it will sell out. Nothing to do with my views on the match, club, the competition or the manager. It's just midweek, straight after Christmas and it's on the tele.

Thank fuck for that!! mammutly!! I salute you!!! the only post that has made sense on this thread!! Season Ticket V City Card, fucking hell they will be offering each other out next LOL, I'm a city card holder and i.ve yet to miss a match I've wanted to go to and ive been going since 1976!! and that includes on many occation sitting in the home fans sections of football teams we've played!! It has always been difficult to get a ticket for major games, ie semi final FA cup 81, Both FA cup finals 81 and even the play off final, but where there's will there a way!!! last season attended most of the euro matches away, Denmark twice!,Cyprus!, Santandar! Germany twice! and my point is!!! I agree with mammutly, can't see anyone wanting a ticket having problem getting a ticket for the home semi! Now the away leg at the swamp will be a differant story! but like the games of yester year, there will be loads of blues in the home sections, as the song goes ''Blues are here, Blues are there, Blues are every fucking were'' na na na

the point i was making was i don't have to explain to anyone why i didn't attend the Fulham and Scunthorpe game,i did so safe in the knowledge that i'd get a ticket for a game like this, due to the fact i bought a season card, whats bizarre about that?
think i'm the only one?
