The only person who might be against this is Aguero himself, so unless he is, I don't see why this would be a hold up. I think we'd gladly insert this clause in order to stop one of the few teams who could possibly pry him away from bidding.

Spot on, that was my first impression as well. City would love to put this in his contract, the only hold up would be Aguero, meaning he has plans to one day move to Real.

Speculation of course but fascinating.

Whoever tweeted the he's signed picture for the clubs Official twitter is looking like a dick now.

Read it again. It says "Aguero signs!". If you go to the picture, it's Aguero signing an autograph. Nothing about him signing a contract. The only person who's said he's a City player, is Aguero himself.

I know that, it was stupid in the sense that everyone got their hopes up that the real signing wouldn't be far off.
