I'm starting to worry slightly, if it was indeed minor it wouldn't take this long to sort out imo.

Depends upon what the minor issue is - and how quickly it can be rectified. FA in London and equivalent in Spain are no doubt closed now, the banks will also be closed so whilst the issue may be minor it may not be possible to sort it quickly for reasons beyond our control.

The only person who might be against this is Aguero himself, so unless he is, I don't see why this would be a hold up. I think we'd gladly insert this clause in order to stop one of the few teams who could possibly pry him away from bidding.

Spot on, that was my first impression as well. City would love to put this in his contract, the only hold up would be Aguero, meaning he has plans to one day move to Real.

Speculation of course but fascinating.

Maybe its an Atletico issue we're trying to resolve? I can't imagine a £38m contract is a simple piece of paper....probably a lot of minor clauses we're trying to iron out.
