Guidetti will get the 4th spot. and i rather have Guidetti than Eto.
I dont know if those figures are true. And we can sign them to a descent wage, how we could say no to that deal.

ok, mancini says he wants 4 strikers, if we lose tevez we have 2 strikers left. if we could do this deal and still get sergio i would approve. if not then i believe we need a player like benzema less because he is similar to dzeko.

sergio would be a like for like tevez replacement

goal.com are suggesting this

...........................

Real Madrid offer Karim Benzema or Gonzalo Higuain to Manchester City as they open talks over a €56 million swoop for Carlos Tevez

The Spanish giants have offered €28 million cash plus either of their two big-name strikers as bait to land wantaway Argentine striker

..............................

no ta from me. i want aguero
I agree, either 56 million or nothing! i rate both Mario and Dzeko higher than those two.
And me.

I rate you higher that those two as well Di Nero ;-)

That would be a great deal for us, money plus a replacement straight away. Tough choice though who would you pick? I'd probably go for Benzema, especially if we get Nasri.

Higuain is better than Benzema.

23 years old, a goal a game for RM, plus £23m? Sounds like a great deal to me.

That leaves us paying something like £17m (totalling £40m deal) for Aguero if we can have both. A striker for all occasions, full of youth and a great platform to progress from after Tevez.

I agree Aguero has to be far and away our first target.

I know eto can bang em in, but like all strikers he has lean spells, and anyway i have had it taking risks with these players who are goog but rock the boat with their ego and big gobs.

If i remeber correctly eto leaving barca was not amicable due to his mouth.

Agree that Aguero would be preferred. Young and ambitious. But Eto'o is experienced and still quick and scores alot of goals.

And Guardiola wanted to sell Eto'o. He didn't want to leave. But Eto'o isn't worth his wages and transfer fee anymore at the age of 30.

So unless it's a cheap fee and he takes a pay-cut i wouldn't sign him.

Aye that was it cheers, there you have it. He didn't want to go but the boss said your gone sorry Eto that wasn't your choice. Then he made it public which always angers fans as it creates tension.

For some reason i can't see him accepting a pay cut (if he would great), as you say age wage and transfer fee goes against him here.

Sorry for the slight of topic, just trying to weigh stuff up between the 2.

After reading about him and yes thats all i can go of as i don't watch La Liga i'd be a bit pissed if we only went in for Aguero half heatedly. I have not read a bad word against the fella yet.

Sergio Leonel Aguero del Castillo
Age: 23
Height: 172cm

(Independiente) 23 goals in 54 games [a goal every 2.35 games]
(Atletico) 82 goals in 195 games [a goal every 2.38 games]
(EuropaLg/ChampionsLg) 20 goals in 39 games [a goal every 1.92 games]
(Argentina) 11 goals in 27 games [a goal every 2.4 games]

(Career) 136 goals in 315 games [a goal every 2.32 games].

He's short-ish, fairly quick, works hard, not great in the air, fairly strong (but not particularly for someone who may play as a lone central striker), he's skillful, is a good passer, he plays well in big games against big teams often scoring goals in these kind of games.

Karim Benzema
Age: 23
Height: 184cm

(Lyon) 54 goals in 131 games [a goal every 2.43 games]
(Real) 28 goals in 68 games [a goal every 2.43 games]
(Europe - remember this is ALL in the CL!) 19 goals in 32 games [a goal every 1.68 games]
(France) 12 goals in 37 games [a goal every 3.08 games]

(Career) 113 goals in 268 games [a goal every 2.37 games].

He's taller, stronger, just as fast, holds the ball up better so will suit being a lone no.9 if he has to play like that, has much more CL experience, has scored goals against big teams from all over in the CL, i think his size and strength will suit the Prem better than Kun.

Gonzalo Higuain
Age: 23
Height: 184

(River Plate) 16 goals in 40 games [a goal every 2.5 games]
(Real) 72 goals in 138 games [a goal every 1.92 games]
(Europe - all CL!) 4 goals in 27 games [a goal every 6.75 games]
(Argentina) 7 goals in 14 games [a goal every 2.00 games]

(Career) 99 goals in 219 games [a goal every 2.21 games].

Not as quick as either of the others but i reckon his all round play is better than both Kun or Benzema's. His size and strength would suit the Prem and his finishing is sublime although his CL goals are quite poor!

Just look at these stats, freakily close, almost identical career goals per game ratio!
