start to think its a no go, we have not made a bid just paper talk. its funny how we jump on news linking us with players but when they link our players to other clubs we just say its bs

bobby said he wanted any players in quickly before pre-season starts which we have done. so i don't see us going for anymore players now.

before you all say about tevez goin. i will say where no one has that money to buy him so we don't need to replace him seen as he 3 yrs left on his contract.
If Mancini wants a "happy dressing room" with all players focussed on winning the games together, it could be a huge risk to keep Tevez after he has already said he doesnt want to stay.
His antics last season really destabilised the club and I fear he could do something similar next season.
Let's have players who want to play for the club.

Yeah, what a shit season it was.
Let's be fair. Do you really think our January/February last season wasn't partially due to the Tevez situation?

Tevez won't wanna stay regardless... his reasons are family nothing to do with the club/team/ambitions/fans, just his living status.

Anyway Aguero will replace Tevez and have a longer career, no brainer really.

Agree Tevez doesn't want to stay, but doubt his reasons are family, unless Kia is a relation. Family is just the latest excuse, following broken promises, not getting on with directors, not liking the rain in Manchester, there not being any restaurants in Manchester and anything else.

Strange how he was willing to move to Corinthians, in a city that's wetter than Manchester and where no one will speak Spanish either, which is still several hundred miles from his family to a club where he previously refused to train when he wanted out.

I'd love to believe the family thing, but I think I agree with you. He's always had different excuses. Wouldn't surprise me if a year down the line he's complaining again and talking about retiring.

We need to just shift Tevez, I would have took £35m personally, lets just hope the rejection just means we're going to get more. I'd take Aguero as his replacement any day, reckon he's a real rising star, Torres esque stats in La Liga.

No.
Following his transfer request last season. Of the 8 games in Jan/Feb last season we only won 3 (Blackpool, Wolves and West Brom). We need single minded focus for success.

Sorry I'm not trying to be negative I'm just trying to be balanced. With the other top clubs playing so badly We could have and should have pushed for the PL title. We got third because Arsenal imploded winning only one of their last five matches, (losing 3!). We did win the FA cup and what a great success that was. However Berbatov could easily have scored in the semi against us. We were very lucky last season. IMO we should have done better in the PL and we were hugely distracted by Tevez's off field antics.

i don't think his antics bothered us that much, i think if they did he would not of played in the final. he doesn't speak much english so how can he disrupt the changing room. all i'm saying is we're going to have to start to play tough with players we don't need to sell him on the cheap 50 mill no less and if no one offers that we don't sell him.

I think it wasn't to do with antics and simply uncertainty that created a lack of focus especially when piled on top of the fixture congestion and injuries.

If 45 mill gets aguero, then I would have sold tevez for 35 mill and taken the 10 mill hit. Aguero is the rising star and will eclipse Tevez's talent in the next few years.

We may well lose Tevez for nothing in 3 seasons, and I seriously doubt he will perform anywhere near the standard he's been at this year if we retain him.

In fairness though, wasn't De Jong injured at that time too?
