Sergio Aguero

cheers for all that
any idea what his goals/mins ratio is minus pens and also what van persies is in the same time(last year at arse/time at rags) minus pens????

I don't have the penalty details to hand, or RVP's numbers at Arsenal, or this year, but I do know that last year, which was considered one of RVPs best, he scored a goal every 130 mins, including penalties. He also had a goal drought of 787 minutes, which is unheard of for El Kun, whose longest drought as a City player appears to be 459 minutes (between the FA Cup travesty against United and the snowy 3-0 against Fulham last season).

I used ESPN Soccernet, but came up with a rough guide:

Aguero has played 7282 minutes with 60 goals -8 pens, which means minus pens a goal every 140 mins.
RVP in the same period played 9260 minutes with 77 goals -10 pens, which means minus pens a goal every 138.2 mins.

So close between the two.

I can't believe i've only now seen this interview from Kun after the QPR game.

Of course they just couldn't resist referring to the earlier incident right after that stunning volley. "We've seen both sides of Agüero..." No you haven't you biased twat, that's not a side Agüero has.

We are so lucky to have Sergio at our club. A credit to his profession and a top man to boot! He will score today.

The little fella is just something else. You just fancy him (steady now!) to score whenever he's on the pitch. And his partnership with Alf is coming along very nicely. I wouldn't have any other striker in place of either of them, as they work so well together.

Sergio is completely unplayable at the moment. Everything played up to him sticks and his ability to find space between defenders is incredible. Has to be one of, if not the, best striker in the world today.
