Time for Guidetti to step up to the plate.

Just don't trust Jovetic not to trip up over his own shadow.

saw jovetic against england and he was the best player on the pitch. guidetti is still to prove himself at top level so it jovetic for me if fit.

yes i know england are shit.

Best i've seen him play thus far, yet he's injured when he's with us.

Hopefully he isn't out for long, but this is when we can prove just how good we actually are. We can show how good we can cope without such a significant player, we always hear that we have several players in each position; well it's time to show this is the case. Dzeko needs to stop sulking and grasp his chances, Jovetic can show what he's got, maybe even Guidetti will get a shot. Then at 'worst' we've got Silva who can play up top.

This isn't the end of the world, I'd rather we give him the time to recover and not do what we did with Vinnie the first time round and rush him back, he'll be needed more towards the back end of the season, for now, we should be able to cope

it a shame but a coincidence hopefully he`s over the worst but after such a lengthy lay off he could pick up some niggles

We'll cope just fine. Alot's happened since Saturday but didn't we score 5 more after he had gone off? (apologies if that's wrong, but you see my point i'm sure). We also managed to score 3 in Munich with no Aguero at all. This is why we have the squad that we have, to cope with such unfortunate circumstances as this. 6 weeks, (if that's what it is), means a February come back and a February come back means a title run in with a refreshed Aguero raring to go. We'll be fine.

Champs league ;-)

As mentioned, id prob sooner see Milner play and stick silva or nasri up with negredo . Dzeko just looks like a man waitin to leave the club . I hope he steps up and takes this chance he has been given . If he doesn't, he's gone for sure .

I feel for Dzeko as I honestly believe he always put 100% in every game. People accuse him being lazy and not having the work rate but I just think that's down to him not being as good a game reader as Kun or The Beast.

Time and time he has shown us he can step up to the mark and is a great finisher. Sadly he is a player who's confidence greatly affects his game, and that's what I think he seems to be lacking at the moment.

I know we all see thing different but I do find the above quite staggering, I find Dzeko so lazy and for a footballer has the worse ball control I have seen in years. I have wanted him to do well for years now but he just lets himself down time and time again. The Beast has been tremendous and should inspire Dzeko to work harder but he won't.

Have to agree.Dzeko has decent ability although his first touch isn't great. He's a good finisher but not a great one but it's his attitude that is most suspect. When he is really up for it and working hard he is a top quality player but it really does seem that doesn't happen very often. It's hard to understand why especially when he can see Negredo ,as first choice, showing him what is needed.

Andy Gray and Keyes on Al jazeera sport just said they are talking a month to 6 weeks out.
