Serial Killer at large in Manchester?

Johnny- Are you serious? It isn't the cops job 24-7 to be telling people how much to drink, how to get home safely etc etc.

Think you are wrong here. Google "police drink campaigns" and you will get thousands of results.

Also the police will spend thousands of man hours on these cases, for example that Brahney case at the stone roses. Who did the searching, who did the appeals, who investigated the case. If these people were going in the canal the police would have 15 less deaths to investigate.

I'm perfectly serious, SHB. The police have to fish the bodies out, spend the money and fill out the paperwork. You'd think they'd take an interest in preventing the need to do so.

People die every day mate in Manchester..The amount of Sudden Deaths that officers attend is more than you would believe. It's nowt to do with the paperwork mate,if it needs investigating it will hence the Brahney case....

And how much would investigating 15 deaths cost, including the searches and appeals and everything that sometimes occurs when they have been missing for a few days prior to being found?

That is a fact Sam,just numbers of deaths-Not evidence of murder. You believe they are murders. For them to be murders there will be some physical evidence of Foul Play which will be identified normally by a post mortem carried out by the home office pathologist. Trauma to the body etc etc. As I said pal,in my opinion it would have to be a cover up of all cover ups involving every person involved in any investigation.
I've never said foul play is involved but the numbers are piling up very high and are at over 10% of deaths on the roads in Greater Manchester (50% of deaths in Manchester when taken alone) over a similar period (which is stunning given the millions of road users placed against the thousands of waterway users). I am shocked at how dangerous the waterways appear to be and am wondering why no media campaigns are being sought to highlight the dangers.

Happening far too often, there must be something in this, not necessarily a serial killer though could be some gang initiation instead. Police need to be all over this.

Gang initiation?
The last one that fell in was 50+!
I doubt anyone would do that to someone who just wanted to join the local bowling club!

Think he means an gang initiation where they have to push someone in.

Wouldn't be a successful gang if the initiation involved dying in a canal

SHB, I know the police are busy and Manchester is a big place. But there is at the very least a serious public safety issue here and people are worried.

It might just be hopeless pissheads, but 35 years ago it was hopeless prostitutes.

I'm guessing he means that the potential killers would be the subject of the initiation. Having a murder to your name is requisite for membership in some gang cultures.

My mind reads things differently than others.

I need to go to bed lol!!

Anyway, I was thinking more along the lines of the American Frat thing.
