Shakhtar(H) - Post Match Thread

Plenty in my side too. I noted they started waving their phone lights at one point, and the regulars were none too impressed.

Where i was in 115 one far east gentleman must have taken numerous pictures of his seat from all the angles you can think of, then later on when we were all holding our 1894 black bin bags up, he brushed his off took a photo off that and used it as an impromptu seat mat !!!

I have to say I feel a bit sorry for Shakhtar. I've got a lot of good will towards them on account of 1) Fernandinho, 2) their manager and style of play, and 3) the fact they've been forced out of their home by war.

After halftime you could see they just had nowhere to go. They were going to lose, they couldn't do anything to stop it, we're just so much better than them. A lot of teams would get dirty and put in some nasty challenges in retaliation but they didn't to their credit.
They didn't - to their credit. Though I do see a ruthlessness throughout our team this season - more so than ever.

It was as if they were told to do it at a cerain time as 3 sides of the ground they all came on at once. A real oddity.
Found it strange too. About the 64 min mark. Any explanation. I'm intruiged. Was in 117 but did seem to be co ordinated on all 3 sides.
The game itself. Don't like to use the term first choice 11,but again,I said the same last week after the Fulham game. All the players who take to the pitch slot into their positions and what's expected of them that Pep's first choice 11 could be anyone from 25 players and they would slip in seemlessly.

Great game, the lads were purring like a well oiled machine that even the usually anti-City commentators on the argie Foxsport couldn't moan too much about the Sterling penalty, he himself shut the fuck them up with that superb goal. Fernandinho received their highest praises and I concur. He was here there everyfuckingwhere the man of the Match, the best brasilero on the pitch, and there was at least a dozen of 'em.
Wishing for a reprise on sunday against the scum.

You really have to laugh. Those who watched the game on BT Sport will remember the match commentators Peter Drury and Robbie Savage as well as the analysts Richard Dunne and Steve Macmanaman all saying there was absolutely no point in Sterling owning up to the referee as the decision had already been made and could not be reversed. Not content with that The Sun asked three impartial observers, Rio Ferdinand, Paul Scholes and Owen Hargreaves for their opinion. “Disgraceful” they all say with the mastermind Ferdinand adding “the City players should have stopped and told the referee it was no penalty” and Hargreaves chipped in with “worst decision ever”

Of course none of these three have any bias and as we all know, if this had happened when they were all playing for Raggy United, they would immediately have stopped the game to inform the referee he had made a mistake. Of course, Old Red Nose would have totally supported them in their fine display of upstanding citizenry.

Effing idiots.
