Shakhtar(H) - Post Match Thread

Lyon Hoffenheim result a bit of a bummer.
Means we've not definitely qualified yet.
( awaits abuse with glass half empty).
While I understand the lack of qualification being a cause for concern, surely WINNING THE GROUP is the main aim, and other teams drawing helps us in that regard....especially when the Milan rival was the one winning away! Just like in games between other Top Six teams, I ALWAYS hope for a draw, with both teams losing two points. That helps us every time!

We need to beat Lyon away later this month and we are through in first place. That’s what top teams do?

Aha yes that was weird as hell! Didnt the South Stand start singing 'what the f.h is that'? before joining in themselves waving their lights! Bit like a Spandau Ballet concert
One of the first things I remember as a kid at Maine Road, as soon as it went dark all over the ground fans sparking up their ciggys which were clearly visible, little red lights. Sounds daft now but the first time I saw it as an eight year old I was fascinated!!

Agreed CB but 2 draws will do it for us.

It's not really a concern we have not qualified yet in fact it keeps us on our toes.

Losing your first match and getting through after 4 games would happen once in a bluemoon if that anyway.

While it won't impact what they do on Sunday Manure winning in Turin albeit one they shouldn't have got close to winning is possibly better for us than them getting walloped on the scoreline.

Found it strange too. About the 64 min mark. Any explanation. I'm intruiged. Was in 117 but did seem to be co ordinated on all 3 sides.
The game itself. Don't like to use the term first choice 11,but again,I said the same last week after the Fulham game. All the players who take to the pitch slot into their positions and what's expected of them that Pep's first choice 11 could be anyone from 25 players and they would slip in seemlessly.
No idea mate it was just weird as ive not seen that before at the etihad.
Agree about our squad. There is a huge difference this season in terms of rotation not hampering our fluidity. Lsst season it did on a number of occasions esp the league cup games against bristol city and wolves. This season i think having an extra year being taught the pep system has inbedded in every player a consistently high level of football intelligence and understanding of how to carry out his instructions. Great isnt it!

Sounds a bit like outside the loos in 102 this evening at half time!

Our best result in Europe and we are through. I don't care if we finish second and get Bayern in the knockouts.
