Hes been one of the best defenders in the league this season often winning man of the match in a lot of games.
Hes a perfect replacement for lescott a no nonsense CB- we need a good balance of players in our team.
The only reason people dont want him is because he used to play for united-so fucking what !!!!!!!!!

Very accomplished in aerial / physical battles is Shawcross.
Not as good as Joleon but I can see sense in it business wise. Less wages and will get more years out of him that Joleon. Plus he's good for the English coefficient.
Wouldn't be overjoyed, but wouldn't be in meltdown either.

He's not got what it takes to help us improve in the Champs League. Lets face it one of the best in the Prem doesn't mean much when you look at the standard of defending this year. A none story.

maybe i was over exaggerating but it was a tongue in cheek comment, but its certainly nothing to do with him being an ex rag is to do with he simply aint good enough for city,he aint better than lescott.Cant understand some people we are now at a club where we challenge for silverware at every stage yet some fans still think shite like shawcross is good enough to play at top 4 level,champs league level,he is not just like sinclair,rodwell.We need to be aiming for players at a higher standard than them to push the club forward at this rate we are going backwards

Signings like this are a backward step,you don't take average like this to a champions league title,unless of course he's prepared to sit on the bench.No from me.

As much as I / we love Vinny, IMHO if there is a criticism he doesn't appear to organise the defense as well as he might. He provides the class and the culture .
For me I think we need a pure defender in there with him. Someone who doesn't mess about, attacks the ball, and when row Z is needed someone who puts the ball there.
Shawcross does the above, and its no fluke that Stoke are very good defensively.
2 of the 3 goals we conceded yesterday were awful from a defensive point of view - no great skill from Norwich, just pissing about from ourselves
Lescott looks like being on his way, Nastasic has done well so far, so has Kolo when he has payed, but he is off the the ACON.
I'd take Shawcross.
