sheikh mansour sends in his man

A cursory flick through google shows Al Mazrouei is a strategist and someone who concentrates on performance and efficiency.

Could be to do with the redevelopment around the ground as has been posted. Could also be to look at cost models etc to keep in line with UEFA's latest chicanery to keep us out?

Seems to be more closely aligned to Sheikh Mansour's brother Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan interestingly enough? then again, like everything with City, could be reading far, far too much into it!

Please not Kenyon, was he running Umbro when they fucked us around in the late 90s, or had he left them by then?

No he was. He regularly attended Maine Road in early 90s before he quit Umbro to go to scum. Pretty sure Cook and Kenyon would know each other well.

Think about it....Umbro now owned by Nike....

I read an article relating to this over the weekend (can't remember what on) but it stated he was coming in and not replacing anybody. Cook was the obvious question re this, whether he was getting the push or not but it stated it was nothing to do with that and Cook remains.

He's a blue, used to attend Maine Road a lot during the early 90s in his role with Umbro, before he went to scumbags.

His and Cook's path will surely have crossed many times down the years.

Umbro, now owned by Nike...think about it....

Kenyon has already been down this road before with Chelsea, trying to make them acceptable to the top table.

There is a clear similarity between how the press painted Kenyon when Chelsea came into money, and now Cook.

Difference is, Kenyon is nothing but adept at how he makes allies.

I thought Umbro were taken over by Nike only a few years ago, long after Kenyon moved on?

That's correct, but these sportswear guys all piss in the same pot, don't they?

Kenyon negotiated the massive Chelsea shirt deal with Umbro, so clearly retained allies after he quit many years before.

Just found this info on him. Mansour must really trust this guy.

General/ HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces has issued a resolution appointing Mohammed Mubarak Al Mazrouei as Under Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Diwan.
The resolution went into effect from the date of issuance on April 16th. Prior to his appointment, Al Mazrouei served as Deputy Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, a specialized government agency that is mandated to provide strategic policy advice to the Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. He also served as a member of the Abu Dhabi Government Restructuring Committee, mandated to drive efficiency and performance of the government.

So just a bottle washer, then?

Does anyone else believe that the crown prince himself is involved in ADUG.

It has always been stated Sheikh Mansour was the main man, but this appointment suggests possibly otherwise.

Which is great when you think about it.

Mansour - £30bn

His bro - the keys to the whole fookin safe.
