Why get rid of the best manager we've had for 30+ years? (Pure madness and smacks of "Typical City").
To get better ?

Where's your proof Pelligrini will be better (a few poxy league titles in Chile don't count in my eyes btw)?

Question is "Should Mancini be sacked", not "Should Pellegrini replace Mancini", am I right ?
Pellegrini is pure speculation, and I think his not considered as a replacement for Mancini.

For me it is now a yes, after the shambles in the FA Cup final it was for me the final nail in the coffin.

This season has been a damp squid, poor form all year round with only a brief glimpse of hope that fluttered out.

I was going along the lines that he should be given another year, but then I had to think if anything would really change - and the answer for me was no.

He will remain forever remembered and righlty so and as much as I like Bobby, I love the club more and feel it is time now to move on.

Heaven forbid we should have a dry squid of a season.

I fully believe that the club and the man will be better off with a change.

If he is sacked I think it will be a very poor decision on the part of the owners given that they offered him a 5 year extension last year. The question is what did they think would happen in those 5 years? Was he expected to win a trophy every single season (not even the Glasgow gurner could do that) ? If so it shows a lack of insight into English professional football which I find surprising in the Sheikh's team.

I'm also assuming that RM was given a clear set of realistic objectives and goals to be achieved over that period - if he has failed against those objectives then he won't be surpised if he is axed.

The way the club is handling it (look at the press review for Monday's papers on the OS, which laughingly fails to mention the single biggest City story currently running in the press) has a horrible ring of familiarity with Hughes' exit. If he's not in any danger, bloody well tell everyone about it and stop the fucking circus.

I feel unbelievably sad about this whole episode, I thought we were over doing this kind of thing, and I thought our club believed in a stable coherent plan which wouldnt be derailed by short term disappointments (FA Cup/CL campaign).

Looks like I'm wrong.

But on the bright side, I stated on one of the Fergie threads that it would be madness for the rags to hire a trophyless/Euro inexperienced Moyes, so I was more than glad to be wrong with that one.

Yes.

Something is WRONG.
Our recent performances against Wigan (twice) WBA, Swansea, etc.etc. were woeful. It's not just now. there were times last season and much of this season when we scratched out wins on pure individual ability, nothing else. Tactics have been naiive, motivation appears to have been non-existent . We are nowhere near to getting the best out of the players we have.

Yes, we've played will against the top 5 sides. But United won the tiitle beating everyone BUT the top 5 with far inferior personnel.

Mancini should have his hand shaken and we wish him all the very best for the future with the correct dignified send off against Norwich.

I think it's obvious to most he has his favourites within the playing squad and there are certain players he just does not get on with and this is reflected in some of the strange substitutions he makes as he will often think of his own personal relationship with a player rather than the team.

Mancini has taken us to the level he can and I thank him so much but we now need a more forward thinking dynamic manager who can develop they way we play whilst ensuring the team spirit remains high and unified.

Thank you Roberto good luck for the future.
