Should you always support your 'home' team?

Macclesfield Town!!!

Rather cut the grass in the f***ing snow that watch that load of shite

I was born in Chadderton so my nearest league club is Oldham Athletic (who I have a soft spot for..)

However almost every kid on our street was a City fan, and I was taken to my first game aged 7 in 1972 with my mates from next door and their dad. And that was me for life..

Im starting this post as some people on here seem to think you have to be from Manchester to support City. Well I was born in South Shields and have supported City since 1978 (when I was 12) when I watched news prog 'Nationwide' who ran a series on City called 'Saturday's Heroes'. I still have the book which could be sent away for. I love City I think as much as anyone and have never ever thought about changing teams as they're in my DNA. I get to home and away matches when finances permit and even go to reserve games, home and away. I love it when City win against Newcastle and Sunderland! Think I'll put a plug for my blog in while I'm ranting...it's http://city1894.blogspot.com
Thank you and goodnight!

no is the answer

but

real mancs are gods chosen ones so we are far superior to any plastic manc

ps I include Salford in this as they are not mancs either

I was born in the area where the Etihad now stands , then known as Bradford , not Eastlands ... and from the age of 12 i've never been interested in any other club than City

..... that was 43 years ago!

I don't think it matters where you come from , all that matters is that City are in your heart .

Born in Leicestershire but supported City since aged 7, I think because I loved the kit in 1977 and that we'd won the league cup the year before.

It takes a hell of a lot more effort supporting City when it's a 200 mile round trip to every home game, so I would say that I am definitely a worthy supporter!!

total bollocks my friend

as real mancs we could have easily gone to the darkside and carried it off as mancs we could have had all those years of glory instaed we chose york away and wycombe on a wednesday night so I dont think your millage is a badge of passage

like I could have been a Leicester fan and enjoyed less misery for the last 35 years than I have with City. But I didn't, and now my loyalty is beginning to pay dividends!

I don't think it's feasible that 100% of ANY clubs support come from the town or city that the said club originate from , it just doesn't happen ... even at lower league clubs.

Uniteds problem is that out of their so called 330 million worldwide support ..... the vast majority of them DON'T come from Manchester , and maybe even not from England either ...... and that will never happen with City , not on that scale.
