Thing is mate they will do their usual, just like with Sanchez, where they force the price down because the player refuses to go anywhere else.

Even if we agreed the buyout clause of £32mil I'd bet Barca get him for about £25mil.

Barca can't afford Martinez

When Barca decide to sell of unneeded players and players that are dispensable I.e have others in that position. Then they can raise funds.

They could sell Pedro, Keita and Affelay then they'd raise like 50million euros which buys Martinez and covers most of Alba purchase. Yet they still have an abundance of quality within the ranks.

Strengthening CB is a priority for them so too trimming the wagebill imo.

I also think others have a point regarding the buyout clause, Barca manage to buy players less than clubs want see Mascherano (took paycut to move), Sanchez (club forced to take less than we offered), Fabregas (would have cost anybody else more and Fabregas even paid towards move).
