Sir Joe ?

Some of the best times I had watching City. Sure we've seen better quality football now, but I got to go to grounds I've never seen before, saw Kevin Horlock sent off for agressive walking at Bournemouth and I still get a shiver when thinking of the 28th Dec game when Stoke went in 1-0 up at half time.

Joe gave some team talk 'cos we reaped the whirlwind in the 2nd half and blew them away. The fight from our players was just awesome, the crowd in full voice egging the boys on and a 2-1 victory that set us on our way to Wembley.

The definitive moment of that season. I shudder to think where we would be without that 2nd half. Not where we are now. Remember Stoke being a fair way clear at that point in the table but pretty much falling apart after that game. We went on a great run of form after that. Joe deserves a lot of credit and should always be fondly remembered

Got loads of history - I have just converted a dozen VHS tapes to USB from the 20th century - still a load to do. Some super football, goals, players, games played on paddocks (including the league cup final at Wembley after the Horses ripped the pitch up). And it had snowed as well - I should know, my wife and I were there and shivered for much of the game.
And those trolls that do not think we have European history - we had just won the Cup Winners Cup.

Very much a tongue in cheek comment that pal! The haters will always accuse us of having no fans and lacking history, but they mean success which is something quite different. And they're also completely wide of the mark on that front.

It's a much better story to have risen and fallen and risen again rather than had continued success. And there are plenty of clubs like Everton that have been at the top (division wise) for so long without winning much for a long time. Their story is dull, their history lacking. To have won on Saturday would have been remarkable considering where this club once was. It's a shame not to have, but it's just part of the journey we've been on, and we'll win it one day soon I'm sure.

I'm an 80s child. I only had stories of the good times. The evidence in front of me was quite different. And the subsequent success we've had was something I could never had imagined. I didn't think we'd win a trophy in my lifetime so the FA Cup, for me, was enough to dine on. Instead I've been spoilt. The disappointment from Saturday was far less than I had expected, because the club is in such safe hands and we know we'll be back.

We were once a team that followed up a league title with relegation. A record that not many would want, but one that we can add to "most points", "most goals", "only domestic treble" and now - "most consecutive wins in the CL by an English side". Only Forest could possibly have a greater story to tell.

A lot of our supporters prefer us when we were shite and playing Wycombe & Wrexham etc..

One of my most memorable matches that mate. The match ever everything turned around
