Six Nations 2024

Little bit!

I think everyone including the TMO + ref knows it was a try, but you couldn't definitively see the ball on the ground.

That's what I thought - I guess there was always a chance that there was a hand under the ball that couldn't be seen.
Tough call on Scotland.

England defence easily coping with Wales lack of line breakers.
Scotland must be feeling hard done by today.

They did - I thought Wales would get beaten up and that happened in the last half hour. The small and callow fly-half had a tough day without much help, and the props didn't have a great day either. The short and crosskicking to beat the blitz worked intermittently but too many kicks were feeding Steward easy ball.

Really the only reason Wales were in the game was due to the sheer ineptitude from England in the first half. The conversion call aside, there was little plan on display.

For the second match in a week, a maul heading for the line is pulled down - why do that? It's likely to still be a try (as a penalty try will be given) except with an added yellow card.

Scotland scored a try there but to be fair to the officials, the on field call of no try which was correct, couldn’t be overruled unless you could 100% prove grounding and whilst we all know it was grounded, no one could 100% prove it so the right call, no matter how unfortunate and communicated brilliantly.

Rugby comes a very distant third behind my two lifelong loves of football and cricket, have to say it.
But two mighty, riproaring matches today, no question about it. Biiig Rugby.
I'm the same, I wouldn't put rugby in my top 5 sports but you just can't beat a top international Rugby Union match. It's proper sport. I'd be ill if I was Scottish today. I thought they were robbed.
